Upon arrival, I was checked in. I was then told the pool and phone lines were were not operational. The pool area was the only reason I booked this location. I asked the gal if I could have a refund and she said there were beaches nearby. That was not what we were looking for. She then said there was a Days Inn nearby. I asked a second time if I could have a refund even though I had booked through Expedia. She said yes but I would need to call Expedia. She said that she had unchecked me in and that should be sufficient.
I called Expedia sitting in the lot and explained what happened. They said they would call and verify, but they could not because the phone lines were down. I offered to walk back inside to get a number but was told they had to use the number in their system. They said they would email.
The following Monday (it was a Thursday check in) I was told the manager would not authorize the refund and that because I had booked a non-refundable room I was out of luck, but Expedia would give me $25. No thanks.
The gal at the front desk was nice but I’m out $330. They did not fulfill their end of the contract so why is it I am out there money? 💯 would not recommend as they don’t care about their guests apparently.
