"The place is perfect after a long day of exploring. It has everything you need. Jon is amazing at communicating and making your stay perfect. The location is about 20 minutes from the main road so be prepared to drive but this is the case wherever you stay in Iceland which is bigger than most anticipate."

"Very unique accommodation for our second night in Iceland. We had the top unit which was nice. The top door panoramic lounge area was really nice in the evening and for breakfast. The communication was not great but I called the phone number provided and they were able to share the necessary information."

"The house was wonderful: bright and airy. We selected the location to allow us to explore in all directions and it worked out well. The host was responsive and communicated well. I would definitely stay at this house again."

"This cabin was in a great location! It was a great fit for the 5 of us. It was nice to come back from our day of exploring and have all of the comforts of home and more. Soaking in the our door hot tub at night was amazing!"

"The cabin worked great for our family of four! When we first arrived, we were concerned it would be a bit small, but the cabin makes really efficient use of space and it turned out to be perfect for our needs. The property was well-stocked with cooking utensils and the refrigerator was extremely generous in size compared to other European models I've used, which helped because it's a bit of a drive to the nearest grocery store so we were able to make one big trip for the week we stayed. "We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages."

"Nous avons passé 3 nuits chez Ida Ida nous a bien expliqué par mail comment trouver sa maison. 3 nuits au calme avec dépaysement total, c’est exactement ce que nous cherchions. Maison bien conçue et bien équipée, tout l’espace est utilisé, linge de maison fournit, il ne manquait rien, vrai petit nid douillet Petit moins : petits travaux dans le jardin pas fini Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir Merci beaucoup Ida de nous avoir accueilli"

"An adorable quiet and private cabin with everything needed to live and cook comfortably. Ideally a washer/dryer on site would be preferred (although washing in the sink and drying on the radiator works fine). It’s ideally located for day trips around the golden circle including 2 different thermal soaking pools within 30 minute drives. You can even see the geyser erupt from the deck. The door lock sticks but we eventually figured it out."

"The property has been nicely updated, for the most part. The room itself was nicely decorated and the door from the showers out to the yard and hot tubs is convenient. Unfortunately, the condition of the bathrooms did not match the rest of the property, with cracked tiles, broken light fixtures and an overall dated feel. "The folks at Guesthouse Fludir also fun the hotel across the road. They have a really good restaurant, and they are very helpful. We had a booking mixup but they handled it all perfectly--no questions asked. Highly recommend them. "
