Slice of Heaven
Highly recommend staying here!! It was beyond our expectations! Everything you need and more! Loved the longhorns, horses, peacocks, chickens, etc. Beautiful views and convenient to Vineyard where we attended a wedding!! We did not want to leave!! Thank you Bill for being the best host!!

Taste of Texas
Looking for a taste of Texas? Stop looking and book here NOW! All the space and amenities you could ask for. Great communication with Bill the host started before we even arrived. Pull up and watch your jaw drop. REAL Texas Longhorns, beautiful horses, gorgeous peacocks, free range chickens and a friendly lil cat with a meow you could probably hear from the road, to begin a great stay. The interior of the home was welcoming with it's decor and provided a comfortable stay. There is so much to offer with the property, we wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it all. Quick access from the Highway and close to town for any goods you may need. Bill was overly gracious with our entire group. I highly recommend booking this property. I just hope it won't be at the same time as us because WE WILL be back!! Thank you again Bill for everything.

Peaceful weekend retreat with friends
We had such a beautiful weekend. Bill was one of the best hosts I have had with a booking like this. He was so friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home. The property itself is wonderful and relaxing. We spent our nights on the porch listening to the wind chimes, chatting, and playing cards. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. The animals were a huge plus. Now I can say I have seen a peacock!

We had a wonderful stay, there aren't enough superlatives
I highly recommend this property! Country Chime ranch house could easily be a "destination" in itself. We were there for the eclipse but we would have been happy just hanging out at the house for our whole visit. The rural setting was relaxing, the animals were entertaining (seriously, even the steers were interesting to watch as they grazed), and the house was comfortable, clean, and impeccably maintained. The A/C kept the house at a cool, comfortable temperature. The host provided a basket of snacks (we treated ourselves to some microwave popcorn), some commonly-forgotten items in the bathroom (Band-aids, mouthwash, a brand-new-in-package toothbrush, and much more), and some coffee in the kitchen for the drip coffeemaker. He even left delicious fresh eggs from the resident chickens in the fridge for us. I met Bill briefly one morning as he was doing chores for the animals and we had a really nice conversation. Oh, and since I mentioned the rural setting, I'll also mention that you might worry about not having access to food or groceries, but the nearby tiny town of Florence had a great little coffee shop, grocery store, and even a donut shop - so you don't *have* to eat all your meals at the house, although you'll probably want to. It was really hard to leave. Sitting on the deck with the friendly cat, listening to the tinkling of the chimes, and rocking in one of the chairs while feeling the spring breeze was the pinnacle of the trip - well, except for the eclipse.

Awesome stay!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Bill’s property! We were in town for a wedding at the vineyard. House was clean and nicely decorated! All amenities were provided! Plenty of linens provided too! The farm animals were the special added touch we didn’t know we needed! We will have to come back again as we didn’t spend enough time enjoying it! Thanks Bill!

“Country Chime” was charming
Our stay at country chime was amazing! We loved being out of the “big city” and we really enjoyed being on the ranch with the beautiful views, Longhorn steer, peacocks and chickens. It was a Texas stay like no other. Our host and ranch hand were so nice and accommodating, giving us farm fresh eggs and helping us set up the fire pit in the evening. The near by winery and restaurant were an added special treat. It was exactly what we were hoping for on our first trip to Texas!

We literally couldn’t ask for more. Was just like walking into our own home. We arrived super late at night because of flights and Bill had the home all lit up for us. The animals were absolutely amazing. My kiddos loved it as well. The best part….the showers!! Holy moly! Best VRBO we have ever stayed in. We will be back next fall!

We enjoyed our stay here at Billy guest house. My kiddos loved seeing and interacting with the animals especially the horses and peacocks. Hanging out on the patio. Quiet neighborhood. We will definitely reserve again. Thank you so much for having us!

Awesome Experience
We came for a wedding and selected this home because we needed accommodations that were dog friendly. We were not prepared to just fall in love with this place! The owner, Bill,is amazing and friendly and also ready to assist with anything you need. The animals were wonderful to interact with or look at. The view is spectacular. The home was so comfortable and a great escape from the heat. We really enjoyed everything about this place.

The location of this property was great for us and we enjoyed being out of the city and away from the traffic. The outdoor spaces are so inviting and even in the central Texas heat, the oak trees were lovely shade. Would recommend!

Wonderful Time
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back. Bill was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed and then some. Even the fresh eggs he had for us were delicious. Country Chime is charming!!
Country chime is a wonderful choice if you are looking to get away for some quiet time. We chose this rental because it was very close to Florence at the Vineyard where we were attending a wedding. It is almost literally around the corner from it. It is a mobile home, but it definitely did not feel like that and the owner, Bill, made every effort to make us feel right at home. He kept great communication with us, provided a welcome basket with wine, and even the bathroom had a basket that contained any of the things that we might’ve forgotten for our trip Including a hairbrush and shaving cream. My granddaughter and daughter-in-law adored the animals that Bill has on his farm there. There were so many opportunities to take pictures of the various animals there, including some peacocks, two horses, and a couple of longhorn steer. Million dollars , there is a lovely porch with rocking chairs and mini chimes. We were able to watch a very impressive lightning storm from there today . Also, Bill left us about a dozen eggs from his chickens that he has there on the farm. My daughter-in-law has made my son promise that they will get to come back here very soon!❤️

What an amazing experience staying here! No detail left behind, to include stocked kitchen, indoor doggie bed, and farm fresh eggs provided! Bill is a genuine guy and amazing host. The menagerie of animals, on the property, was incredible and made for a bonus experience. Wonderful place to stay!

We had a great time!
We stayed the night for a wedding at the vineyard. Perfect, convenient location. My 1 year old daughter had so much fun walking around looking at the peacocks and horses. The house was cozy but plenty of space for my family and dog.

Magical Country Experience
This was our second stay at this beautiful property, and we plan to return! The house is immaculate with everything you could possibly need for cooking and more! The animals are friendly and wonderful and kids and adults alike loved feeding them and marveling at their beauty & antics. Bill is the greatest.host.ever., and we are so thankful to him for such perfect family time! (Added bonus: Mom & Dad were able to sneak over to the nearby winery for a fabulous, farm-to-table dinner!) Wins all the way around!
