"This hotel promises an exceptional stay and delivers it's promise on every level. From the moment you are greeted by the professional team to the moment you leave nothing disappoints. "
"Our stay was lovely: the manageress, bar staff and waitresses were all welcoming. They provided information about the local area and showed interest when we returned after our days out.
We stayed three nights in a very comfortable room, with a good selection at breakfast. We ate in one evening which very tasty.

"Well what a really pleasant place, surpassed all expectations. We stayed in The Horseshoe Suite and it was perfect for a short stay. Our only problem would have been the bath size - small, but the shower was more than adequate. The bed was very large and very comfortable with exceptionally white bed linen, every where was very clean and tidy. "Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way .
Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery.

The inn is perched up right on the edge of the moors with some stunning views.
It is a 2 min walk down the hill to the beautiful hamlet or up the very steep hill to the ruins of the old iron ore furnaces.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic we would book again.
