"Overall, the house had a variety of amenities that were desirable and the location was close to the ski resort but there were a few issues with the house that we wanted to mention. First of all, it was not very clear that this was two separate buildings, and tromping back and forth across the icy driveway was a challenge. It was difficult to drive up the driveway and unloading and loading our cars with a poorly treated driveway was dangerous and frustrating. The sauna did not work and the hot...

"Had everything we needed. Nice updated accents throughout with the charm of a lodge feel. Fireplace was great and the ability to ski right to the lift was a bonus! Thanks again!!!"

"It’s like being in a house and you can hear others when they are being loud especially on 2nd floor, near common area, but fun if you like to be social with other guests. We had a nice stay. Building is a bit older so has its rustic feel and signs of age in certain areas. Overall, based on location, convenience and price we would stay again. "

"We had a wonderful weekend at the house. I was a perfect winter getaway, The house was very clean and comfy. We loved the proximity to all that Ellicottville offers. Our son enjoyed the video games. It as also great the we were able to bring our dog with us. We will be back. "

"chalet was clean, had comfortable beds, and kitchen had what we needed"

"Ellicotville Chalet was the perfect place for our family trip. The house was spacious and easily accommodated our party of 14. The location was perfect, only a very short drive to Holiday Valley Resort. The only reason I marked a 4 for cleanliness was because we had to wash the pans, cups and silverware before we used them because they had food on them or were dirty. The same with the stove. The floors were a little messy and the fireplace had ashes and the ash bucket was filled to the rim....

"Clean, warm, well appointed, with comfortable beds. Took a ski trip with friends and my teenage son, and we had plenty of space for the four of us. Tony and Jennifer were responsive to my questions before and during our stay, and included some recommendations on where to eat nearby. Highly recommend this space for a family ski weekends. "

"The location of this apartment is IDEAL!! Right in town and walkable to everything in town, including the Tops grocery store. The listing doesn't do it justice, as it was a little bigger than I expected - which was a bonus when I walked in. This is clearly a rental unit - the shower hook in the bathroom was falling off the wall, there wasn't any shower stuff (shampoo or soap), hardly any hand soap in the bathrooms, only a few bath towels (2x in each bathroom), and 1x roll of toilet paper. "My family which included 4 adult couples and 2 children ages 6 & 8 had a wonderful winter weekend with tubing and skiing!! The house was very nice, cozy and spacious. The downstair bedrooms were great for my daughter and her kids. The boys really enjoyed the pinball machine and the electronic game table.It was great being able to eat together at the huge dining room table and the adults enjoyed playing games at night.This house would also be a great summer getaway too. "There were a number of issues related to this listing. Firstly, there was gross misrepresentation regarding the amenities. There was no washer/dryer, dishwasher or adequate plates/utensils. There was no cable TV. Secondly, the property was filthy with ants infesting the entire building coupled with rodent feces in the kitchen drawers. Lastly, when we contacted the property owners regarding the above issues they ignored our concerns and requests for compensation. VRBO should not allow this...

"It is definitely one of the nicer hotels I’ve stayed at, but for the cost, I would expect better. Food was meh and both food and drinks were expensive, we couldn’t figure out the thermostat and it was really cold. Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am. When you stay only one night, that doesn’t even give someone a full 24 hours. I know these are minor inconveniences, so overall it was a nice place to stay.
