"Came in town for USC football game. Kitchen was well suited to prepare our tailgate. A basket of snacks and waters were on the kitchen table, which was a nice surprise upon arrival. The property manager was extremely attentive. Alerted of no hot water and issue was corrected within an hour. Portable AC units in living room and bedroom worked great, as it was very hot and humid. There is no central AC. Great stand-up shower…toilet area was tight. I’d stay here again!"

"Debra and Dennis were without a doubt the BEST hosts for our brief weekend gateway to Chapin! The location is nothing short of amazing and they are wonderful people! "Great location for parents weekend at USC. It became our home base. We could all meet up and head out as a group. The lines to the bars were too long, so we came back and used the game room. "Our stay was very good. Excellent communication and instructions. The AC worked awesome, beds comfortable. I was happy to have the alarm system as the area was not in the fanciest part of Columbia (though we didn’t feel unsafe). Overall a great value on a weekend moving our daughter to USC."

"We did not stay at this place because it is a scam. There were no check in instructions sent & when we reached out to the number listed for the host it was disconnected. To add insult to injury we still have not been reimbursed the amount for the rental by VRBO. When we initiated reimbursement we were assured it would be taken care of within 72 hours. That was 2 weeks ago. Each time we call we cannot get concrete info on when we’ll see our money. Not a happy camper"

"So much to say but I'll stick with letting the owner know a welcome manual may be necessary for Wifi information along with general house amenities and how to work them. Not enough linen was available. No ice maker. Verbal communication with owner was a bit stressful. Try to cater to your guest, not your culture."

"We rent a place on Lake Murray every 4th of July. I have to say this is the worse experience we’ve ever had. The kitchen is infested with ants. Ants were all over the counter and got in all our chips and boxes of cereal. There were also ants in the twin size bed downstairs, both showers, and the bathroom vanities. The refrigerator did not work. When we woke up the first morning all our food was warm. We had to get coolers and ice to keep our food cold. The ice maker doesn’t work either. We left...
