"This is a lovely little place with a great pub with really friendly staff and great food. Excellent dog walk on the other side of the road. The room has a fridge microwave kettle and toaster. The owner was a bit stressed about the shower having failed but they had called a plumber and all was fixed with no problems and lots of apologies. Would recommend!!"

"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. Then as we were going to microwave our food the microwave had mouldy food inside of it. "The Newcastle staff were so great. Jessica checked us in and took the time to recommend a museum and show us how to get there on the map. Anna very cheerfully stored our bags for us while waiting for the train. Everyone so friendly. Hotel is a big worm but very clean and the spa/pool excellent (we went both in the evening and next morning!). Pleased to find we’d been upgraded and the room was about big enough for a herd of bison. All great value for money and we loved our stay. "
