Elevated eclectic yurt with wrap-around porch, hot tub, and mountain view!

Elevated eclectic yurt with wrap-around porch and mountain view; nearby Blue Ridge Parkway and only 5 miles away from Fancy Gap, VA. Enjoy the stillness of a get-away with the convenience of easy access to amenities. Great for small groups (including families with children) or can be reserved for larger groups in conjunction with neighboring yurts (3 total). Dog friendly. Fresh mountain air and bright stars included with reservation.
The space
The Bee Hive is elevated on the mountain between 2 neighboring yurts. Yurts can be rented individually or in groups. They are separated enough for privacy if desired and close enough to walk between to visit with neighbors if booked in groups. Bee Hive boasts a spacious wrap around porch with a gorgeous view, a fully equipped kitchen for vacation meals, a huge soaking bath tub, a large loft, gas fireplace, and entertainment. The porch is enclosed to be dog and kid-friendly, and the driveway is accessible for sedans, SUVs, and motorcycles. The Bee Hive is great space to check in and stay put to unwind OR to rest your head in between outdoor adventures and small town exploring.

The Bee Hive is off the beaten path while also being very close to small mountain local antique shops, a Dollar General (4.7 mi), and Walmart (11 mi) for light groceries or forgotten travel items.

This space is ā€œglampingā€ at its best; you pack your clothes and food and we provide the rest!

Additional air mattress, linens, high chair, and pack-and-play available upon request.

Charcoal grill available for use, but please bring charcoal.

Our stay at Maurizioā€™s apartment was top notch! First class all the way. Maurizio was in contact with us as needed up until the day of our trip and was very responsive.Maurizio happened to be out of town during our stay, so his son, Luca, greeted us and settled us in.We cannot say enough wonderful things about Luca. He gave us the tour of the apartment and detailed for us the amenities. But what really made an impression, was how he took us to the Metro station and got us our week-long Metro cards. It was such a huge help to have someone fluent in French do this for us. By the way, paying for the week-long Metro card paid for itself in 3 rides!!! Luca was also very responsive to us during our stay. We asked him several times the best train routes to take, and he provided us with excellent directions!Luca even came to visit us the day before we left to check in, and we chatted for a while and picked his brain about all the questions that came up about Paris during our time there. He graciously answered everything and was a great sport about it.The neighborhood the apartment was located in was perfect. Plenty of bars, restaurants, pastry shops, two grocery stores and super close to two Metro stations (the 2 and the 3). It was in a non-touristy area which we liked and everything in the area was well priced.We would definitely recommend Maurizioā€™s apartment, and we would stay there again. Thank you for making our Paris trip, and my sister's 50th b-day one to remember!

Highly Recommend

This was the cutest yurt and had everything we needed from cooking ware to comfort and entertainment. Great wifi service, great location for relaxing and exploring nature activities and local shops. Not a negative thing to say. Would come again and highly recommend!

Great overnight spot when traveling south/north on I-77

We are heading south for the winter and needed an overnight spot. We wanted something different to a hotel. This yurtā€¦ AMAZING! Extremely clean. About 5-10 minutes off the highway. Restaurant nearby. Secluded but not ā€œscaryā€ secluded (if you know what I mean). The yurt has all the accommodations you need and is EXTREMELY comfortable with plenty of space. Perfect after a day of driving!

a nice connect to nature

I was looking for a nice get away and disconnect. I have stayed at a yurt before but this was first class. Much thought and detail was it into this location. This is the way to connect to nature without any discomfort!

First Yurt Experience

It was very unique. Some small issues as usual. The inside doorknob was not attached so it fell off every time the door was used. If you take a pet, there is no grassy area close by to take them out. The stairs to the loft are steep, be aware when using. These could be a challenge for some. and pets cannot easily climb.

Wish we could have stayed longer!!

The Yurt was amazing with great amenities. The worse thing was we were only able to stay a night as we traveled through. I would recommend staying to anyone interested! I know it may sound weird but hopefully you get to enjoy the soothing rain hitting the roof in the evening.

Perfect place to get away

What a great place for a short, relaxing vacation! The yurt is quite spacious and comfortable on the inside--perfect for a family of 4 and complete with dog water/food bowls. It is like a large tent, so if there are guests staying at the 2 neighboring yurts, you will hear them. The location is close to several hiking trails and good (but not fancy) restaurants. We would love to stay here again if we are in the area!

A Delightful Alternative to a Motel

My wife and I stayed at the Yurt while traveling down I81 and I-77 from Baltimore to South Carolina. The Yurt has all the conveniences of home and is a welcomed alternative to the typical roadside motels. We had an issue with the door lock (operator error). The owner answered my call and walked me through the problem. We wouldnā€™t hesitate to return.

Perfect place to get away

We only had 1 night as we were traveling to Carolina beach, but the experience was amazing for the short time we had. My wife and I already decided that we are definitely coming back for a longer stay. So peaceful and well thought out with the build and all the amenities.

Great stay

We only stayed one night but loved the property. Wonderfully decorated , excellent use of the small space especially loved the bathroom with the large shower and soaker tub. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook our meals also. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved our stay at the yurt! Great property once inside the yurt. Unfortunately it was a muddy mess due to 4-5 days of straight rain. Beautiful bathroom.
