The home features a large game room with a pinball and a pool table, numerous modern amenities, a propane fire pit and a quiet and secluded hot tub. The Claim is an incredible home base for all of your mountain adventures!
Step into the front door of The Claim, and into the bright and cheerful Great Room where you are greeted by floor to ceiling windows with beautiful woodland views. The Great Room has a large open living area with a wood-burning fireplace facing the sectional couch and dining space. Stoke the fire and cozy up with a great book or settle in for a favorite movie with your loved ones on the corner television. The spacious kitchen with granite counter tops and custom cabinetry offers modern stainless steel appliances, numerous kitchen gadgets and high-top seating for 3 at the bar. The Dining table has comfortable seating for 8 - perfect for mealtime or family game night alike! . The Central Bathroom features a unique copper vessel sink, a standard toilet and a bathtub shower combo - prefect for starting the day with a quick rinse or sinking in for a soak after all long day on the slopes. There are 2 Mid-Level Bedrooms, the Front Bedroom offers a comfortable Queen size bed and large closet, while the Back Bedroom offers 2 stand-alone Twin size beds and a large closet. All the beds in the home are freshly made with our cozy cotton bed linens, ensuring that you wake well-rested and refreshed for days filled with fun and adventure!
Up the stairs to the Loft, you'll find a open office space and a large corner lounge chair. The Master Suite has a Queen size bed with a beautiful custom log bed frame, a large closet and an En Suite Bathroom. The Master Bathroom features a double vanity, standard toilet, corner shower and a large jetted tub. Relish in the beautiful Mountain Cabin Decor, with unique, personal and carefully chosen touches throughout the house that have you feeling right at home!
The Ground Floor of the cabin features a large Game Room with a combo air hockey/pool table, a custom pin ball machine, entertainment center and walkout access to the hot tub. The day bed with pull out trundle offers additional sleeping options - available for an additional charge. The Ground Floor Bathroom features a single vanity, standard toilet and a custom steam shower with beautiful custom mosaic tile. The ground floor bathroom also offers a full-size washer and dryer that is available for guest use, so no need to waste precious vacation time at the laundromat in town!
The huge wrap-around deck of the home has a propane fire pit with comfortable deck chairs, a propane heater (for those brisk Colorado evenings spent stargazing) and a BBQ grill for whipping up a favorite family meal. Guests have access to one side of the double bay garage - which offers the convenience of keeping your vehicle protected, easy unpacking upon your arrival, as well as plenty of storage space for outdoor gear and travel items. (Please note: with major snow fall during winter months, this garage bay may become inaccessible to vehicles and use for parking can not be guaranteed.)
Glacier Ridge is home to a variety of wildlife and this spectacular location affords opportunities to observe Elk, Deer and Foxes (just to name a few of the critters!) right on the property. Additionally, you may be able to see Moose in their natural habitat in the nearby wetland area adjacent to the cabin.
Park County is an activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and The Claim is a great "Base Camp!" If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain climbing, snow-shoeing, horseback riding (winter too!), ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, mine exploration, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more.

* Guests are required to have a four-wheel drive vehicle with adequate snow tires or chains during the winter months from November through May. The area is subject to frequent unpredictable and adverse weather conditions which can make travel difficult.
* This home is located in a rural high alpine mountain environment where wildlife, insects and rodents may be encountered. The home is also equipped with a well water system and may have variability in taste, smell or mineral content based on time of year and usage.
* Guests will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement after booking.
* This home is pet friendly. We charge a $50 fee for each pet, and all pets must be approved. This fee is not included in the quoted rate, and will be charged after the booking is confirmed or the day of arrival on the reservation.
