We had a reservation for one night. We received a confirmation and our credit card was charged. Our flight was originally scheduled to land at Fairbanks airport at midnight but the airline changed our itinerary and told us we would not land until 1:00 a.m. We contacted the office at the Abbey Archwood Inn and the person we spoke to assured us that would not be a problem. She told us to call when we arrived and she would check us in. She even told us she had checked someone in at 3:30 a.m. the night before. We arrived at the Abbey Archwood Inn and called them at 1:46 a.m. The gentlemen who answered the phone said he did not have a reservation in our name. He did tell us that he had a room available but it would cost $200 -- which was four times what we initially paid. We contacted Expedia, who tried to call but he refused to answer the telephone. We would like a refund because we paid for this room but when we arrived at the Abbey Archwood Inn they claimed they had no reservation in our name. We offered to show the man our confirmation from Expedia showing we had the reservation and had already paid for the room. He refused to look at the confirmation. As a result of his behavior, we ended up trying to sleep in our car -- after traveling for over 15 hours.
