"I spent one night during a very smoky, hot weekend. The VRBO was a refuge from the unpleasant weather. It was clean, well-appointed and quiet. The neighborhood is located away from downtown and I would categorize it as mixed but I had no problems and have no problems recommending it to families or singles."

"Overall good place to stay. Close to Costco, Fred Meyer, & Wal-Mart. The 2 Beds are good. The 2 Couches work well for children but are uncomfortable for larger teens and adults. Fans were made available to help stay cool during the summer heat. Owner is very responsive."

"This place was perfect for us. We wanted something near our friends who were staying at Rivers Edge RV Park and this was about two miles away. The garage apartment was comfortable with plenty of amenities. Dr Yamamoto was overly friendly and caring and checked in with us to make sure everything was good. He even gave us a ticket for four to the playoffs of Fairbanks' semi-pro baseball team...GO GOLDPANNERS! We and another couple so enjoyed the game. If you're ever looking for a place to stay...

"The apartment was comfortable with all the necessary essentials of home. A quiet neighborhood and easy access to the apartment with a coded key lock system. The view to the beautiful backyard was a plus. Access to Wi-Fi was easy and fast with no disturbance. We enjoyed our stay. "

"We stayed here our first and last nights in Alaksa. It was great both times. Ben was super accommodating, being able to do a load of laundry was so nice, it's so quiet, SO clean, bathroom amenities were so nice. 10/10 recommend!! The only thing I recommend is bringing eye masks to sleep in as the bedroom doesn't have black out shades and it's never dark in July. :)"

"We booked this place for its close location to the school our daughter was wrestling at so we didn't spend a huge amount of time in it, however we did find it to be well stocked with essentials, and we did enjoyed our stay. The location was super convenient to get to and from our destination, restaurants and shopping. The host was super nice and responsive to all of our questions. We would gladly stay here again. "

"I wasn't expecting it to be in a basement, and it's a bit of a tight fit down there, but overall was cozy and worked for what I needed! If you're looking for a place to hang out at during the day, it's dark and small. But if you're looking for a place to just sleep and get ready in the morning, it works perfect! That's all I needed was a night time place to rest, so it was great for my needs!"
