About 45 minutes to the Thorton gap entrance of Shenandoah and the cabin is about 30 minutes down the river itself. We drove around Shenandoah’s Sky Line Dr and came back to amazing weather and spent a few hours in the hot tub. "This is a comfortable cabin that has everything you need. It is set back off the road and is very peaceful and quiet. The porch is so inviting for morning coffee or a late afternoon beverage. If you are exploring Shenandoah National Park, this cabin is SO close. There is a shortcut to Hwy 211 via a gravel access road (Jewell Hollow Access Road) that saves a lot of time in getting to the park. You will find it on Google Maps. Be aware that the listing is correct....there is NO cell coverage or...

"Spent two nights here so we could explore the Park. The house had everything we needed. Wish the master bed was a queen or king. The creek gives great ambiance to the property. Real plus was allowing us to bring pets who throughly enjoyed their hikes in the NP!"

"The place is off the beaten path but well worth it. Serenity surrounds you. We went to SNP to hike Old Rag Mountain and were so thankful for the hot tub at the end of the day. It was perfect. The house is clean, we ate all our meals at the there and it is equipped with all the basic pots and dishes you will need. Fireplace was awesome too. Highly recommend. "

"I gave 4 stars on cleanliness due to hallway floors being very dirty. No white socks remained. Communications were horrible due to phone being very static filled. Master bedroom lamp was broken. Exchanged it with one from another bedroom. TV remote controls need new batteries. Otherwise, very nice place."
