This home is nestled in Virginia Hunt Country, just minutes to 66, and an easy 45 minute commute in to DC. Surrounded by wineries, horsing events, parks, and quaint towns bursting with events and great restaurants. The location, peace, and tranquility will make you feel right at home. Whether you’re in town for Gold Cup, the field races, the hunts, a fun night at Twilight Polo, or need accommodations to attend one of the many wonderful wedding venues... to exploring the many beautiful wineries, or simply a country getaway with friends and loved ones, Stoney Cobbler Hill will offer comfort and style to your visit. There are seven Tvs and bright, cheery furnishings throughout. This is a newly remodeled home with all new appliances, flooring, furniture, and a fully stocked kitchen. We are also super excited to share that we just installed a new whole-house generator to ensure our guests are never left without power! How cool is that?! Perfect house perfect location
A group of friends staying for the week for golfing and wineries couldn't have found a more perfect house and location. A beautiful and peaceful setting and wonderful common areas of morning coffee and evening cocktails. I would definitely recommend.

Exactly what you need and then some
The place was great- everything we needed and then some - so simple to walk in and have space, enough rooms, many sitting areas and eating areas. Big parking area, neat and tidy and well thought out with nice touches.

Amazing Find in Wine Country
My girlfriends and I stayed here for a girl’s weekend/winery tour. This location was perfect. There were so many close wineries that were convenient to get to. The house itself was amazing. There was a ton of room for all 5 of us. The house was very clean, had modern decor, and was stocked with everything we needed. Martha was full of great recommendations for wineries, restaurants and shopping. This property made for the perfect long weekend!

Perfection
My large family was coming to town for the service to celebrate the matriarch of the family. I needed to find a place to accommodate my four nieces and their babies...someplace nearby that was peaceful and perfectly appointed. We won the lottery when we found this VRBO! This home exceeded our expectations. The owner/manager was proactively helpful and kind. I will book this home again in the future when we have a need.

Gorgeous house in the perfect location!
My husband and I, along with a few friends, stayed at this home for the Gold Cup races. The decor is fabulous. It’s as if a professional interior designer created the perfect get-away. The home is so bright and open and the rear screened in porch is the perfect place to relax. The home actually sits in a hill so when you are on the back porch, your view is of the tree line and it feels as if you are sitting in a luxury tree house! The photos really don’t do it justice. You have to see it for yourself. The location is PERFECT. Nestled down a quiet street yet only minutes from 8-10 Delaplane wineries, restaurants, plus a grocery store in Marshall. The home is about 15 minutes from Great Meadows Park (for Polo and horse races), downtown The Plains, and Sky Meadow park for hiking. The owner was extremely responsive and the fact that the home was pet friendly so we could travel with our two small pups was the icing on the cake. Such a great place!

Great Retreat
For Thanksgiving we needed a place to stay to get away from the hustle and chaos of preparing for the big day. This home was just what we needed. Loved the location and its beauty. Very clean and lots of space to keep from being on top of each other.

Martha's property is one of our favorites. Lovely place to stay. We gathered for a birthday celebration with family members coming in from all parts of the country. The house is big enough to accommodate us all, and provides areas for us all to sit and talk comfortably--the living room, the kitchen/den, and the screened porch. Wineries/brewries in the area provide entertainment, and apple picking at Hollins Farm was a highlight.

S&N Wedding!

Great family holiday gathering
Beautifully decorated and ideal location for wineries and breweries. We were welcomed with wine, flowers, and a gorgeous Christmas tree. We had a fantastic time as our adult children and grandchild (and dog) got together for the holidays. Stony Cobbler was a wonderful getaway and Martha was an excellent host, very communicative and attentive. Would certainly stay again.

Absolutely perfect!
This property was perfect for our getaway! Every detail was thought of by the owner. Plenty of gathering space and four bedrooms for a great nights sleep for all. The screened in porch was beautiful and a lovely place to spend the evenings with a nice bottle of wine and friends. The location was also perfect. Just a few minutes to some of the nicest wineries and also to the quaint towns of Marshall and Middleburg. Loved this property and definitely plan to return!

The Butterfly, the Bee and the lizard. . .
Black/blue butterflies greeted my upon my arrival, it was a good sign. I sat quietly on the back deck taking in the scenic tranquility and marveling at well plan grounds our host had created. Its a beautiful home full of all the comforts you come to expect in a 5-star hotel. The rooms were spacious and accommodating and their plenty of quiet nooks and venues to recline, relax, meditate and gather. A perfect picture of paradise.

The absolute best!
I can't seem to say enough about this property! I spend hours and hours researching properties before I book them and Martha's did not disappoint! Everything was as listed in the description, the home was clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated and charming, quiet and well taken care of. My family and I all enjoyed our stay and everyone said as we were leaving that they wish we could stay for a long time. The house was exactly what we needed, to stay out of the city but close enough we spent day trips driving to the places we wanted to see. Thank you Martha for sharing your beautiful home! If you are thinking of renting this property, don't wait, just do it!

Overall this house met all our our needs during our family vacation. Plenty of storage in all areas except twin bedroom. Screened in porch was awesome. Large house allowed for various activities.
