The holiday apartment is in quiet surroundings on an ancient embankment only about four kilometres from the North Sea, between Niebüll and Emmelsbüll in Südtondern in Northern Frisia.
There is garden furniture on the terrace in front of the house, so that you can really relax, or you can enjoy the sunshine or the endless starry sky over North Frisia at night. Nothing obstructs your view here, apart from a few clouds. There is a car parking space right by the house.
A charming and fully-furnished holiday apartment awaits you. It is on the ground floor of an old thatched Frisian house from the year 1860. The apartment is suitable for up to seven people. The big bedroom/children’s room has a double box spring bed and two adjacent single beds (80 x 200cm), which are already made on arrival. Woollen blankets are available for colder days. There is a sofa bed (190 x 250cm) in the living room for two further people. The built-in kitchen is equipped with all the essentials: coffee machine, toaster, microwave, four-ring ceramic hob with an oven, fridge, hand mixer, steam iron, vacuum cleaner, crockery, glasses, cutlery and tea towels. The living room is furnished with a coffee table, dining table with four chairs, sofa, satellite TV and a radio with a CDplayer. The bathroom/WC with a shower is fully tiled and there is a second bathroom with marble tiles and a bath/shower.
There is a lot to explore from here: e.g. as far as the Baltic Sea t Flensburg 45km, Husum 42km, Rondern DK) 25km, the island of Römö (D), with the widest sandy beach in Europe, and of course the islands. If you enjoy fishing then there is a fishing lake just 200 metres away and there is a lovely lake for swimming 5km away, suitable for small children. In bad weather there is an indoor pool in Niebüll and museum enthusiasts can visit a Natural History Museum. There is a leisure pool in Leck for the whole family. Holiday here on the embankment means to relax in a maritime climate – similar to those of the North Frisian islands, but with less of a wind. The air is very pure. The maritime climate provides good conditions for recharging your batteries, with wind and weather providing lasting benefits and new energy for your return home.
All the rooms are fitted with under-floor heatng and antique floor tiles. Two dogs are welcome. Sometimes you may hear a rustling under the thatched roof, which will be “Nis Puk”, the benevolent, invisible Frisian house spirit. The apartment features a northern style with exposed beams and pine furniture. All windows afford an extensive view over fields.
