"Super cozy cabin and lovely location. I had a great time and wish I could have spent more time there. The wifi worked fine, and it was not a serious issue for me but it’s important to know that AT&T (at least for me) does not have cell reception there."

"Overall it was a great stay in a terrific location. Great neighborhood. House is nicely stocked. Weather was unseasonably cold so we stayed in quite a bit. The games had many missing pieces making them difficult to play/enjoy."

"Really enjoyed our stay here. Seemed like the whole place had just been redone - very clean. The setup worked well for our group with my elderly in laws staying on the main floor and my family with kids under 12 staying on the lower level. Lots of space indoors to hang out. Only negatives are that we couldn't get live TV - usually not an issue but we wanted to watch the Olympics. Netflix was available though so kids were happy :) And no table on the back deck to eat. But we enjoyed lovely happy...

"The cabin is great and we would definitely recommend. The pros: spacious, clean, great deck with hot tub that has easy top lift, surrounded by pines, great view of golf course, fun games in loft, nice beds upstairs. The cons: microwave did not work, the deck was covered thick with pine needles that we had to sweep, the fire pit did not have a cover but we found it later on the side of the house so we put it on the fire pit, the downstairs bed is uncomfortable and noisy. "This was a very comfortable place to spend a few days in a beautiful setting. Weather was warmer than expected, but the house had numerous fans and the temperature dropped quickly at sunset. My wife and I, along with our four adult children and two young grandchildren were all relaxed and happy. Our niece’s wedding was close by, so the location could not have been better. Our host was very quick to reply to any questions. "

"My daughter (in her late 20's) stayed with some friends from out of town to celebrate her birthday. The place was in a great location and very close to several local outings. The place was clean and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this place for a large group. Had everything needed to make the weekend special."

"What a great house! Larger/nicer than it looks in photos and super clean. It was very comfortable and we had two families with 5 kids total. Minutes away from skiing at Tahoe Donner. Bring your own board games, pantry staples, and throw blankets. It was not well stocked, otherwise highly recommended."

"The house and property are beautiful and perfectly located. Deer and wild turkeys came right to the house. The Yuba river is at the end of the road you drive up on, you just gotta keep driving even when you hit the narrow dirt road. We went for Grass Valley but fell in love with Nevada City. Papa Bear was much bigger than we needed but we love space, and it had plenty of it. We got to sit on the backyard porch and watch the deer. "This A-frame was spacious and welcoming for my weekend away with my friends. We had the space to play board games, make food, and cozy up for multiple conversations. I loved strolling around the lush grounds in the evening. We would love to stay here again for our next Yuba river adventure. "
