This is a quiet, secluded cottage with an “up-north” feel. You’ll be surrounded by nature with booming trees and limestone walls. The cottage is located on the Rock River with access to Lake Koshkonong.

Perfection
This was exactly what we were looking for: private, clean, relaxing, and close enough to explore the Madison area. There are lofts in two of the bedrooms. Sleeping in the lofts was a trip highlight for my kids! I recommend air mattresses if you want to use the lofts for sleeping. We had everything we needed for cooking dinner and breakfasts, and plenty of towels and bedding for six people. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful and relaxing place to spend some time away. The house is very nice inside with great views of the sunrise and we loved the kitchen. The greenhouse outside was a great place to hang out in the cold weather, and the patio halfway down the hill to the river was an amazing spot to relax in the trees and listen to the birds. The host was very helpful and responsive, our whole experience was great.

Delightful getaway!
The house is adorable and I already want to book another stay at this perfectly wonderful house! Pictures are accurate of the rooms and space, and if anything, they don’t fully convey how delightful the space and the way the space flows so nicely all together-it really is a lovely space, in every room there are details and comfort considered. Cozy blankets, tissues available, binoculars for bird watching, etc. The rooms are tidy and yet cozy, warm decor, with multiple group seating areas. Easy to get on wifi. Easy to communicate with the owner on quick questions. The kitchen has the basics covered. The beds were super comfy. I wish there was either one more stool or more kitchen table chairs to make sharing a meal easier. The house is positioned in proximity to two other houses, and it’s quiet and still in the area-no noise from the road at all. Peaceful and lovely to sit on the porch or in the greenhouse, with loads of trees, birds, and the river below.

Super cute house south of Edgerton, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Loved our quick trip to the area, and looking forward to the potential of coming back for a longer stay!

Great little getaway
This was a great little gem. It sits within the trees and a lake. We had access to the water via the wooden stairs at the back of the house. We got ourselves a mini workout going down and back up the stairs. The enclosed back porch was nice to sit in, early morning. We were able to BBQ on the outdoor grill and enjoy our meal on the outdoor table under the trees. There was a fire pit available as well, but we didn’t get a chance to use it. We had little visitors around the property. We saw some possums, chipmunks, deer, wild turkeys and a gopher. That last critter was a surprise. We had plenty of room in the kitchen to prep and store food. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The set up in the living room was cozy. As for the driveway, we were grateful for our small car. It is a steep driveway, but worth it, once you pull up to the house. If we make a trip back, we will definitely try to reserve this house, again. While you’re here, make a trip to “The House on the Rock”. It will knock your socks off. Also take a trip to the “Milton House” museum. We took the tour. So much history in that building. If you need a little break from all the noise, this house has your name written all over it.

Perfect Getaway
We arrived later in the night, and everything was lit up enough on the outside to find it easily. Waking up to the view of the river was great, and the property over all was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed our short stay here, and would definitely stay again given the chance!

Memorial trip
This house was so cute! The pictures don’t do it justice. We took a family trip to honor my late husband who grew up spending summers in Edgerton. This house was the perfect retreat for me, my two grown children and two young grandchildren. There was everything you could possibly need. The hosts make it easy for you. You won’t regret staying here! We’ll definitely be back!

Anniversary trip
This place was so peaceful and tucked away in the woods. Just what we wanted. Check in was easy and the home was perfectly clean and beautiful. We hiked, biked and kayaked all with only short drives to get there. Loved this sweet cabin!

Beautiful Cottage off the beaten path
My sister and I wanted a girls weekend somewhere secluded on the water and this place did not disappoint. The cottage is beautiful with all the essentials you could need. Plenty of room for everyone and during the day the bugs were not bad at all. We had messaged about drink coasters because we couldn’t find any and didn’t want to ruin the furniture and got no response from anyone, but it wasn’t a big deal to us. We plan on coming back for a longer stay down the road. Thank you!

Cutest little cottage on Rock River
A very well appointed cottage right on Rock River. We had everything we needed to be cozy and comfortable and were also able to rent kayaks and get out on the river. Close to Janesville and just bit of a drive out to Madison. We saw a bald eagle and some baby deer. A great place to get away for the weekend.

It was a smooth check in. The home was very nice And clean, Looks just like the pictures. I did have to drive some distance just to get to some stores and attraction (which I’m not used to) but besides that everything was great and would definitely come back for another vacation!

This is such a great property! It is secluded but there are neighbors around; groceries and fast food places are close by. The home had so many places to gather, and it was so clean. We had a wonderful time!

Best relaxing getaway!
This property and cottage was even better than we expected! Jeff was always available and answered all questions promptly. The greenhouse and sunroom, (that overlooks the river) seemed to have healing powers! The entire cottage offered so many opportunities to recharge that you don't feel a need to 'go somewhere ' or 'do something '. Thank you, Jeff for sharing your wonderful home away from home with us.

Quiet weekend by the river
Stayed with 3 other adult friends. Location was secluded, quiet and definitely felt cabin-y. The huge yard was perfect for lawn games and sitting by the fire. We enjoyed how many places there were to sit, inside and out. Sleeping arrangements were great and the cabin was very well suited for hosting guests. Little things like sunscreen that we had forgotten were a nice touch. The river was a little off color. Some of our group swam but I wouldn’t book the place with intentions of being in the water all day. That said, if you’re interested in fishing, kayaking, or just having a lazy weekend with friends as we did, you’d be hard pressed to find a better setup.

Perfect place to stay
We were just in town for the weekend for my son’s college graduation. We wanted a place away from all the crazy crowds where we could relax. This place was perfect. The location next to the water was amazing. I enjoyed my coffee on the screened in porch in the mornings listening to the birds. The house had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. We loved our stay there
