Beautiful 3 bedroom and 3 full bathroom vacation home. Just steps away from a large sandy Lake Huron beach! 1 king bedroom, 1 queen bedroom, and 1 double-over-double bunk bedroom. Additional sleeping space in the lower level with a pullout queen sleeper sofa. Upper and lower decks with unobstructed views of the lake and gas grill on the upper deck off the kitchen for cooking. Walk out basement to the backyard with beautiful views and one of the most beautiful stretches of SANDY beach right on Lake Huron! End your evening with a campfire as you listen to the waves wash in. Just 4 miles from the restaurants/bars/shops of downtown East Tawas and 3 miles from Tawas Point State Park! Amazing biking trails, fishing, boat rentals, and golf courses nearby. The location is perfect!!! It's secluded but conveniently located right off of US-23 in case you need to enjoy everything that East Tawas has to offer! Perfect location for a beautiful fall stay with Lumberman's Monument a short drive away! Take in all of the fall colors that Northern Michigan has to offer!

Poor Customer Service
An unfortunate situation where the cleaning company never showed up after the previous guests had left the day prior to our arrival, leaving a dirty house, piles of wet towels, dirty bedding, dirty kitchen, etc. The frustrating part for us was that we drove 3.5 hours through a snowstorm on New Year’s Eve, only to receive poor customer service from the host. After several voice mails, text messages, and an email to both hosts listed on the property, Megan’s response was a text to us asking if we wanted to clean the house and do the laundry, and she’d waive the cleaning fee & 1 night stay. We were not in the mood to find a store that was open, so we could buy cleaning products. We called her and ended up asking for a full refund and she agreed. We drove 3.5hrs back home, through the snow storm. The next day we sent two messages and left a VM to Megan asking for the refund status – no response. Only after contacting VRBO (who also had trouble contacting the host), did we finally receive a full refund, minus the trip insurance we were required to purchase.

Loved this place
This large house is nicely furnished and decorated. We enjoyed having the option of sitting on the covered patio or the elevated open-air deck. The views of the lake were incredible, with amazing sunrises and so many brights stars at night. The location is perfect! The area is quiet and only a short drive to shopping and restaurants. We went on several scenic drives to places near the home such as Lumberman's Monument and Tawas Point Light Station. The beach (at the end of the backyard lawn) is clean and the water appears to be quite clear. We stayed here at the end of September so with the cooler temperatures we did not take advantage of the water toys or kayaks. We enjoyed everything about this property.

Great place to stay!
We loved the house, and the fact that there are 3 bathrooms for 10 women! The walk to the beach is a little long, especially for the older ones in our group, but a wagon was provided to help take our chairs and everything down. The kitchen was well stocked, and there were lots of folding chairs if needed for outside. This was our second time staying here, and we really enjoyed it!

Uncleanliness
The linens we not washed, all bedding had sand on them! Dust bunnies everywhere! Spiders on the ceilings. The basement has a very musty smell. Found an old dog turd under the couch. The remote for the main television does not work! Will not be staying here ever again!

Beach is a little farther
The beach is a little farther out than you'd think from pictures. We had someone using a walker and it was a chore for them to get out there. Also while all the bedrooms are on the main floor the entrance is downstairs. The home is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lake Huron Getaway
We loved the location - quiet neighborhood, beautiful view, very convenient. Overall it was a great place. We questioned the cleaning service. The King bed had only a fitted sheet that appeared slept on. We pulled it off and just remade the entire bed. There were no towels in the bathrooms, but maybe that's the way it is and of course we found them. No toilet paper in the downstairs bath. The glasses didn't look clean. All easy fixes. A strong gas smell was emitted when we tried to turn on the oven (we quickly turned it off). This is concerning! The communication with the host was easy and prompt.

Great house with sunrise view on Lake Huron
We had a great time, the host was very responsive and we had no issues checking in/out. The kitchen/living room, which is where you will spend most of your time while indoors, is newly renovated and has an amazing view of Lake Huron. The backyard is large and very well kept...and the beach is great!

Location and view
The view is beautiful! The weather outside was so cold! We spend most of our evening in the lower level by the fireplace. It was very cozy! This home is close to many hiking trails and town. There is something for everyone! We can’t wait to stay again next year!

Nice fall getaway!
We enjoyed our fall family getaway. Great location - close to trails, shopping and restaurants and right on Lake Huron. We had plenty of room and nice to have 3 full baths. It was very windy while we were there so we were unable to have a fire and smores. But other then that it was great.

This place isn't for everyone. Access means you unlock the door, go downstairs and then upstairs to the living area. It's quite spacious. However, when we arrived (5 PM for a 4PM check-in), the unit hadn't been cleaned and linens not washed. Host had someone come, but we couldn't get in by ourselves until ( PM. Next thing that when wrong was that there was no hot water. Hosts somewhat attentive, but slow.

Labor Day 2023
This was our second year in a row staying here for Labor Day weekend. We love the location and the house. It’s perfect for all of our kids. Beach is great. Good sized grass yard too. We had a couple of small problems and the owners responded very quickly and it was taken care of. Would definitely recommend. We will probably book again.

Beautiful beach
The property is located on a beautiful strip of sandy beach that is very quiet with clear, calm water perfect for children. There is also a large, grassy backyard that was great for playing games in the yard and bonfires for roasting marshmallows in the evening. We could not have asked for a more perfect outdoor setting. The inside of the house; however, left a lot to be desired. As other reviewers have stated, this house is not very clean. It appeared that the cleaning crew had not swept the floors and the countertops in the kitchen had not even been wiped down. The window AC unit in the master bedroom was growing black mold. This property is in need of a DEEP clean in the off season.

Perfect getaway!
This house was everything we could have wanted for our family getaway. Our trip included 6 adults and 4 children between the ages of 2-7; there was plenty of space to accommodate all of us. The house was clean and well stocked with towels, dishes, linens, etc. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather and enjoyed the beach every day and a bonfire at night. The water was very clear and shallow enough for our kids to enjoy swimming. We also went into town, which was a very short trip, and enjoyed shopping & restaurants. Tawas is such a great little town! The property manager was very responsive and the most easy going and accommodating owner that I have corresponded with. 10/10 would love to stay again & highly recommend!

This is our third year staying at this property. We refer to this trip as “our annual lake house trip.” The house is perfect for our large family of nine. We rarely leave the house! We love the private beach and the spaciousness of the house. We are already looking at booking for next year for year four!

Girls Trip

Plenty of room, great views! The cleaning crew should be fired. Also, the ticks were really bad at the fire pit. So, bring yard sprays. It would be a great improvement if the property owner hired a professional pest control company to spray the yard for ticks and the home for spiders.

Birding Trip
Excellent property with plenty of space for 4 children, both inside and out. Perfect place to base a trip to all the nearby outdoor sites. Have stayed here before and would definitely come back.
