Casa de Campo em Cabin Creek

The cottage is the perfect place for a couple's get away. The views of Cabin Creek are stunning. You will enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets. You may also enjoy watching lots of water fowl, including ospreys which nest right outside the cottage. While staying at the cottage, you may use our kayaks or canoe and private pier. As you relax on the pier, you can watch the riverboats from Suicide Bridge Restaurant pass by and local watermen bringing in their catch. In the evening, you may roast marshmallows at the fire pit. The cottage is ready for company.
Please note - The cottage is suited for 1 to 2 people.

Paradise A Hidden Secret
Just beautiful. Janelle is a fantastic host. The house was super cute and clean. The property is something you don't want to miss. Osprey, purple martins, eagle, turtles. ducks, squirrels, kayak, canoe, firepit, sunrise and sunset on the pier, close restaurant and bar. Adequate kitchen supplies with all that was needed, small cooktop, refrigerator and freezer. Can't say enough.

Hidden Gem
I cannot say enough about our stay at The Cottage. The house was perfect for my Fiancé and I! The bed was super comfortable, linens provided, lounge chairs, kayaks. The kitchen was already stocked with water and coffee, and a bottle of wine to enjoy! They have a book and photos for you to see their adventure as they were renovating the house and property. Janelle was very quick to respond to all of my questions. You will not be disappointed when you book this beautiful property! Thank you once again Greg and Janelle!

A slice of heaven
The cottage was immaculate and cozy, with breathtaking views of the water and wildlife! The loft and balcony were lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable! The welcoming wine was a nice surprise and delicious! My husband caught perch and catfish from the dock. The Suicide Bridge Restaurant (Around the corner) had freshly cooked seafood and the most awesome sunset we've seen in a long time! Can't wait to return!

The perfect cozy getaway
The Cottage on Cabin Creek was the absolute perfect place for our long weekend getaway. The cabin is beautifully designed. The location is amazing, on the water, with full-water views from everywhere, including a magical perch from the balcony outside the bedroom. We felt we had our own personal osprey family, constantly perched on the nest next to our dock. The kayaks were set up in a way that made them incredibly easy to access, launch, and dock. Janelle was wonderfully responsive. The place really was exactly as advertised (which isn't always the case on VRBO and similar sites). A couple of things to know, in case they matter to you. The cabin really is small, and would not be a fit for more than two, and could get tight for a long, extended stay. The kitchen is also small: just a two-burner range, no oven; a dorm-type refrigerator. The bed is in the loft upstairs, the only bathroom downstairs. The bugs in the area can get pretty thick in the summer, so make sure to bring spray. To be clear, none of that is intended as complaint. We loved our stay there and would happily return many times!

Cozy Cottage
The cottage was really cute. The views of the water were wonderful. Lots of Osprey doing their fishing and tending the nest right outside the cottage. Very clean and well maintained property. Very peaceful place to unwind but close to things to do and to things you need.

Lovely Getaway

If sunsets on the water is your thing, this is your place
This is our third time staying here because it is lovely. We took the canoe to dinner at suicide bridge restaurant, so much fun, best view for sunrise and sunset. The pier is an extended room, worth enjoying. We had great meals and shopping in Cambridge and Easton and always enjoy all the great hiking. I left my hat and Janelle sent it to me right away. Thank you, see you again!

Waterfront Escape
I booked this property as a extra long weekend trip for my Husband's birthday. I was looking for a place on the water and with access to fishing spots. The house itself has a dock we fished off of, and it’s close to other local fishing spots. The views from the house are great, there was even an Osprey family nesting right by the dock. It’s a perfect getway for 2 people. The house was clean and well stocked. Waking up with the sunrise over the water was amazing. There are a lot of windows, so if you are sensitive to light when sleeping, bring a sleep mask. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay again.

Beautiful!
This house and location was amazing! We had such a great time! We caught tons of fish and even caught crabs. If you are looking for a beautiful home on the water away from everyone this is the house. The property owner left us a bottle of wine that was amazing and so very nice of her. My husband and I got up one morning and drove to Ocean city which was only 1 hour away to visit the ocean and check out all the shops. It was nice to then come home to a quiet home. We will for sure go back.

Quiet Delight
What a beautiful cottage! It was perfect for two of us. If we weren’t kayaking or sitting on the pier, we could look out the windows and enjoy the view. The only noise we heard was from the boats going by, and even that was pleasant. If you’re looking to unplug, you’ve found the right place. Janelle was a lovely host - she provided a bottle of wine for us to enjoy on the pier and was very responsive!

Lovely long weekend
Cottage was a perfect couple's getaway. Immaculately clean, snug, great views, and above all, peace and quiet. The ospreys on the property were so entertaining! Janelle was a great host, and we had a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived, and a fridge full of water. I look forward to going back someday!

Romantic getaway
Loved the house, location and views! Conveniently located to Cambridge and Black Water Wildlife Refuge, where we explored during our visit. We loved all the bird watching, and especially loved that the home came equipped with binoculars considering we meant to bring our own, but forgot.

Waterfront paradise
The property and house is even better than pictured on the website. Beautiful, tranquil, peaceful. Your blood pressure will immediately drop and your worries will float away. Ofcourse the weather that we had made everything even more special. Janelle was clearly a Premier host! I was so excited to catch a fish off the dock! Quiet cottage on the water
This is an ideal location for a quiet get away. The cottage was perfect for two people. Everything we needed was provided by Greg and Janelle; kayaks, chairs, ducks, wine... A very nicely decorated cottage with incredible views of the Choptank River. Enjoyed kayaking along the river, sitting on the pier and along the river shore, and sunrise greeting us in the loft. We will definitely come back.

This is a great little cottage for a couple's getaway. It sits right at the edge of Cabin Creek with its own private pier and pair of Osprey right next to it. This was the 6th time we've stayed here, and love it each time.

Excellent getaway for 2!
My spouse and I were looking for a quite weekend getaway. This property was perfect for the two of us. The setting on the river is gorgeous. We spent some time just watching the birds. The home is clean and nicely appointed. The owners were pleasant and easy to contact if there was a problem (which there wasn't). We had a great time there and would definitely stay again!

Weekend getaway
This property is perfect for a nice peaceful getaway. Beautiful location on the water. We fished, walked and saw plenty of birds and water fowl and even a river otter. Had dinner at the Suicide Bridge Restaurant just munutes away and in view if the prpwrty. The cottage is clean, well maintained and the location is perfect if you are looking for privacy. We will absolutely recommend it and would not hesitate to return in thd future.

Beautiful escape!
Peace and tranquility in nature was what we were looking for and experienced at the cottage. The property the cottage sits on is large; you have access to two piers/docks to fish and crab at in season. The fire pit and grill we put to great use. We enjoyed the night stars, sun set and sun rise as well as watching the eagles and blue birds. The cottage itself is very cozy and comfortable. We will return!

The cottage is near the end of a dead end road and is within a few feet of the water. Even when the weather wasn't perfect, we had a great time watching the birds, including a bald eagle which spent some time on the pier a hundred or so feet away.
