"Six of us booked this house for two nights, climbing Mount Katahdin the morning after our first night. The house was great, plenty of beds and showers, and close to the park. The dishwasher was key for our larger group and fueling up. The only caution I have is if you or someone in your party is sensitive to mold or musty smells, you may want to avoid the upstairs suite and the basement. "

"Great location just outside of town. Property owner is super easy to contact and very kind. Very clean and calming place to stay. Nice back deck and picnic table by the river with plenty of room to roam in a wall kept lot. As other reviews have mentioned, I can see the issue if you have trouble with steep stairs to the bedroom, but the design of a cabin is no reason to knock down a rating, If you need handicap accessible, look for something that says it’s handicap accessible. "

"We stayed for a week with my 4 kids (ages 5 - 13) and parents and loved this house! It's a wonderful lake house with everything that you could possibly need. The kitchen is wonderful and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out as well as to convene for meals. The lake is beautiful. "

This is a simple rustic type place, nothing fancy, but like I said: clean, spacious, good kitchen, beds were comfy, hot water for showers. View off the deck was beautiful. "The cabin is very cute, and the view of the lake is lovely. The only negative, if you want to call it that, is that it’s 2 miles in on a dirt road, not great if you want to go back and forth often, but wonderful for peace and quiet. There is no AC or WiFi for anyone who might be looking for that, but it’s a nice little cabin for a quiet weekend or week away."
