Minutes from historic Glacier National Park, nestled beneath the picturesque Montana sky, and encircled by majestic Rocky Mountains, lays Lone Elk Lodge- premier lodging in East Glacier.
Welcome to the Sinopah, our largest unit. This spacious, 1,600 square foot unit has three large bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. The Sunrise bedroom has a king bed, full closet, and bathroom with a tub/shower. The Garden View room has two queen beds, a walk in closet, and bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower with a European glass door. The Southwest bedroom has a king bed that can be converted into a set of extra long twins. It has a private bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower and European glass door. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans to keep you cool and comfortable.
Gather in the large open concept kitchen/living area, where granite countertops, handcrafted cabinets, and new appliances provide the perfect spot for preparing and sharing meals. The living room features comfortable microsuede sofas and a leather recliner for enjoying the large rock fireplace, watching TV in the large flatscreen TV, reading books from the extensive library, or playing one of the many board games provided. The large windows open to beautiful mountains landscapes and colorful flower gardens with a lovely rock water feature splashing just off the deck. This property is the perfect place to come back home to after finding adventures in Glacier National Park.

Wonderful Place to Stay
My friends and I enjoyed staying in the Sinopah unit at Lone Elk Lodge during our visit to Glacier NP in September. We could not have asked for a more welcoming, relaxing place to stay. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable, spacious, and homey property. Felt very welcome. It was close to gorgeous Glacier Park. We were able to make our meals and relax at the location too. Each bedroom with its own bathroom was a plus. Definitely recommend.

This is the best Vrbo that we have ever enjoyed. The property is a wonderful wood cabin, and the description really understates the beauty of the property. The owner are amazing and they live on site. The bathrooms are all high end and h the showers are amazing. Perfect perfect property

Glacier Family Trip
Lone Elk Lodge was accommodating to our family while visiting Glacier. It was a convenient location for our family to visit the park during the day and return to have dinner together at night. Carl and Leslie were great hosts. We really enjoyed their back yard where we were able to have a fire in the evening. We want to visit again and would definitely reserve their place again.

Beautiful Cabin Near East Glacier Park
This beautiful cabin was the perfect home for our most recent visit to Glacier National Park. It is conveniently located on the east side of Glacier and is just minutes away from Two Medicine. It is also very convenient to the St. Mary and Many Glacier entrances. The cabin is very spacious and exceeded all of our expectations. Leslie and Carl are great hosts and we appreciate their efforts to make the cabin a perfect vacation rental. We look forward to hopefully returning here on our next trip to Glacier National Park.

Nice cabin close to East Glacier

Gorgeous Property!
The lodge was beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. Property was gorgeous with amazing views! I did not want to leave! Would highly recommend this property and definitely want to go back someday!

Even better than the listing shows
Rental #5 on our national parks adventure and couldn’t image a better place to wrap it up than Lone Elk. Unit was spacious, amazing timber and finish details and the owners, who are onsite, are two of the nicest people you could meet.

Excellent accommodation
Used as a base camp for the east side of Glacier. Everything was clean, organized well, and stocked. Spacious with great mountain views, right off the reservation. Leslie is on site, friendly, and ready to help or give advice. Limited food options nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location and accommodations. Our group of 20 appreciated the large dining area. Excellent Hiking is close by. The Park service limits park access now. This was no problem because there is so much to do in East Glacier. The Haggars were very helpful during our visit and during the planning stage.

Home away from home! Great location!
This house was perfect for our family. The 3 bedrooms with their own bathrooms gave everyone there own space. The house is well stocked with everything you need! We've stayed at a lot of vacation homes, but this one was by far the best stocked. We appreciated having the bear spray for hiking and used the cooler to pack lunches for our drives to the park. When we weren't out and about, we enjoyed hanging out in the living room watching tv or playing games at the large dining room table. We normally stay near Flathead lake. This was our first time staying in East Glacier. This house is centrally located between west glacier entrance and St. Mary entrence. Great location for exploring different areas of the park!

Our family loved our stay at the Lone Elk Lodge! It was a great location to access Glacier National Park while maintaining a more remote feeling during our stay (which we loved). The property was clean and had everything we needed! We can’t wait to return to the Lodge and GNP!!

East Glacier Hiking Trip
This is the best VRBO we have ever stayed in! The property is just outside of East Glacier Park, private, quiet, with beautiful starlit skies at night. The property can easily accommodate 8 people. The interior is rustic, cozy, and well equipped with all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. We cooked all our evening meals there & the kitchen had everything we needed. Property is as easy drive to Two Medicine area, and approximately an hour's drive to St. Mary's visitors center. What we enjoyed most was getting to know the owners, Carl and Leslie. Two of the kindest, most genuine people that were happy to share their history, give us suggestions on trails to hike, where to eat and where to shop. They really made our stay memorable. Thank you very much, Carl & Leslie. We hope to be back soon.

Perfect accommodations and excellent hosts
The Lone Elk Lodge located in East Glacier was the perfect location and accommodations for our mini family reunion. Our hosts, Carl and Leslie, were so nice and incredibly helpful with tips of where to hike, eat and how to beat the crowds. Their property is perfectly located on Highway 2 between West Glacier and St. Mary’s. The property is private and quiet and the Lone Elk Lodge was fully equipped with comfortable beds, just like home. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Great house and hosts!
What a great find for our first trip to Glacier National park. The house was amazingly clean. It was such a nice home away from home feel. We were told that we should stay east and west side of the park but honestly after reaching our other destination, we wish we stayed the whole time here. We would definitely come back again. Remarkable!
I do not do reviews.............BUT, Leslie and Carl and their wonderful place have made it impossible NOT to!! Everything here was top notch, and their personal attention and touches went over the top. Wonderful accommodations, (well appointed,) and of course the personal touches made our stay way more enjoyable than we thought possible. We stayed in Sinopah, with 4 adults and 2 children, with plenty of room! . I think the east side had less people and congestion and was easier to get to Waterton. Although, the drive to West Glacier was a very enjoyable ride through the pass. Thank you, Leslie and Carl!
