"We are visiting from Australia and this place is absolutely awesome! Amazing location yet within walking distance to pubs / restaurants and town centre. Incredibly quiet being in a country setting and lots of opportunities for walks by the river. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we were able to have breakfast outside in the lovely garden. "This is a charming, family-run inn near Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey). The accommodations were comfortable although simple, and the pub is fantastic, with really excellent food. "I travel a lot for work and I absolutely loved The Plough Inn. It’s in a beautiful village which is just picturesque, imagine a Christmas card with a snowy scene.
