Our custom mountain home is only 2 miles from Purgatory Ski Resort yet sits on 3 private acres giving you an exclusive Colorado getaway experience. With the San Juan National Forest surrounding our neighborhood, you’ll find unlimited hiking trails leading you to mountain lakes, waterfalls, and some of the best hiking all right outside the front door!

As you drive onto the property, you’ll admire the grand design of this classic Colorado mountain home. Our covered breezeway from the driveway is unique and leads you to the entrance of the home. With over 1,300 square foot of spacious decks, you’ll find a brand new private hot tub that is perfect for soaking after a day of adventure. On another deck, you can take in gorgeous mountain sunsets while listening to the sounds of nature, and possibly an elk, moose, or deer sighting. A perfect setting to enjoy coffee out of the rain or snow.

The home has a blend of mountain modern yet maintains a timeless Colorado feel with its warm log architecture and gorgeous custom finishes. We keep our kitchen stocked with new gadgets and utensils, and the home stays cozy as its well-furnished while having the luxury of heated flooring on the primary floor and lofted suite. A wood stove in the living room (wood provided) along with Nest thermostats with controlled heating is sure to take the chill off a cool night. Sleeping accommodations include a king size bed in the lofted master suite, while downstairs you'll find two more bedrooms with a queen-sized bed and another with a log bunk bed providing a spacious queen bottom with a full-size top. The washer and dryer downstairs provides the convenience of doing a quick load of laundry if needed (soap provided). Every room is thoughtfully finished, as comfort is our priority after a day in the outdoors.

Talk about a great way to disconnect…but if you’d like to stay connected, our home is equipped with smart technology powered by Starlink's high speed Internet (over100 mb/s), a cellular signal booster, 4K Smart TV’s, and Alexa. With all this at your fingertips, feel free to enjoy a movie night in the bedroom with Netflix, Hulu, or Prime Video or grab a blanket, get comfy, and enjoy a family game night by the fire with a selection from some of our favorite family games.

One thing guest have repeated to us after staying for 2 weeks or just a few days is that our home is noticeably cared for, and it was more than they expected. It's difficult to convert the beauty of the home into words, but we promise you’ll want to come back again and again to enjoy the tranquility of living in the mountains surrounded by some of the best fishing, hiking, and skiing Colorado has to offer. Our property is available year-round for enjoyment of all seasons.

The location is ideally located 2 miles to Purgatory Ski Resort, 35 mins to downtown Durango, 20 mins to the Durango Hot Springs,10 mins to grocery and gas, and a short scenic drive thru the million-dollar highway to both the historic mining towns of Silverton and Ouray.

Winter Notice** From November to March 4WD or AWD with good snow tires is required, otherwise you’ll need snow chains. If you plan to drive a vehicle that is not equipped during the winter season, please book elsewhere to prevent issues. The county keeps the road to our home plowed all winter, but we want to ensure no one is adversely impacted by those either not equipped or who may not regularly drive on snow packed roads.
