"The cottage was lovely and clean. It was equipped with everything that was needed from the kitchen to the board games and outside games. The location of the cottage is perfect for using the swimming pool and other activities on site. Would definitely recommend the cottage as a base for exploring too. "

"Quiet, clean functional cottage, perfect for 2 people. Hot tub was a welcome feature. Perfectly located for visits to different coastal towns. Would definitely return."

"Lovely apartment but needed a thorough clean. Walking bearfooted floors felt gritty and a little sticky. Wooden cabinets in kitchen and living area full of greasy fingerprints. Duvet had about a two inch bloody looking stain on it, brought it to their attention, it was returned later in the day in same condition. Sorry to complain but it really spoilt what was otherwise a lovely stay. Nice staff."

"The property itself was very clean and well situated approximately 2.5 miles from the centre of Scarborough. Check in was easy with a coded key safe. We found the kitchen to be poorly equipped, fortunately we had take a few items ‘just in case’, this could definitely be improved but in no way spoiled our stay! We took a dog with us, the area of the garden with the hot tub is enclosed and secure so he could roam around while we had a soak. All in all a great stay thank you 😊"

"Loved the cottage very comfortable"

"This was our second stay here for the three of us plus dog. Located near the castle and overlooking the railway, it’s ideally placed. Town is a two minute walk and, although parking is a street away, there was always free spaces. You’ll need reversing skills to get to the property to unload, as the house is on a narrow one way road, with no parking. The property is ideal for four, with two bathrooms and a decent sized kitchen/dining/living area. Happy to say, we’ll look for the property the next...

"We chose the Lakeside Retreat after staying in a similar property and we were amazed at how lovely it is. The style and layout of the place suits our needs and the view of the lake is lovely. The property is finished to a high specification and equipped with everything you need. We were going around saying oh it’s got one of these ! Nothing has been skipped to make the stay perfect in every way. The location is perfect as we have a small dog. The meadow has walking trails cut in so you can have...

"We had a fantastic stay, the cottage was everything we needed and more! The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and the cottage was so peaceful but also handy for exploring York and the surrounding area. Communication from the owners was brilliant and whilst we didn’t need anything, it was nice to know they were near if we did. Thank you Guy and Tracey for a lovely stay, we would highly recommend the cottage for a short break away with your own space and lovely surroundings :-)"
