"A lovely hotel in a good location within driving distance to the main town. Staff very friendly and helpful . My only issue was that our bedroom was too warm, especially at night as temperature cannot be adjusted. We had to put towels on the radiator to reduce the heat in the bedroom. Also no net curtain on the window, so privacy was a bit restricted once main curtains were open . "

"I arrived at the property on Friday evening having reserved 6 rooms on Expedia only to be told there was no record of my booking (despite the fact I am now completing a review requested by Expedia) I was hosting a party of 10 clients for a weekend away so this was a shock. to be fair to the owner he quickly found us alternative accommodation , but this was a fair way out of town and far from convenient. I would suggest you double check your booking with the property before leaving ."

"we stayed twice, once on day of arrival in Ireland and once on day of leaving. The only problem was that we arrived late at night and it was very difficult to find in the dark as there was no sign visible from the main road. We had to rely on someone from the garage next door to direct us. On our second visit we found it easily of course. Some sort of lighting by the entrance at night would be helpful. "

" Windy Acre was like home from home. Gwen and Des lovely people. Very comfortable place to stay in the heart of some stunning countryside. Beautiful place great walks. Definitely we will use this place again. "

"We had a very brief stay at Hotel Rosslare the night before getting the ferry from Rosslare harbour. The room was very nice and clean, bed was comfortable. Lovely powerful shower and plenty of tea and coffee in the room as well as little toiletries in the bathroom. Love that it is a minutes drive from the harbour. Would definitely stay again and recommend."

"I’ve always stayed at this hotel because it’s good and handy for the ferry. I didn’t stay last year and was surprised at how downhill it had gone. After checking in I asked if there was a lift as I have a bad knee (awaiting knee replacement) to be told there wasn’t and had to walk up the two flights of stairs. They did offer to get someone to bring my case up but I wasn’t sure how long I’d have to wait. In the room, whilst it was clean, the phone to reception didn’t work and the bath was badly...
