Overall my stay was ok. I really liked the closeness to conference location. Unfortunately, the second might stay I was locked out of my room at 1:30am. Seems the card reader malfunctioned. After several attempts to fix the problem the night manager put me in an adjacent room. Had to make do until later in the morning when someone could come out to fix the problem. I had my special needs son who was without medications, not to mention myself. I missed the morning scheduled conference due to this situation. The night manager, Arthur, expressed that new locks had been installed and they have been experiencing problems. As if that wasn’t enough, the same thing happened the next night. Got to my room in the early am and couldn’t get in. Fortunately this time I wasn’t I wasn’t displaced and the manager was prepared with new key cards. Needless to say, it was very uncomfortable experience. The manager did what he could. I had to ask for water, a cell phone charger. Things I needed to have besides shower, medications and clean clothes. A nice thought would be to have a complimentary packet with items such as water, snacks, tooth brush tooth paste, etc. small necessities that one shouldn’t have to ask for in these situations. Also, the manager apologized as he should for the circumstances. Aside from that, there was no encouragement or support as far as being advised of letting upper management know and any next steps to compensate for adverse circumstances. Nothing. Oh well.
