"Really enjoyed our stay at Ella Retreat. The glamping tent was ideal for us, spacious and comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the waterfall was amazing! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, organising our (very tasty) meals, tuktuks and laundry. "

"Gostámos de ficar no tea garden, num estilo bungalow típico da zona. É uma casa com 3 quartos e se os “vizinhos” fizerem muito barulho ouve-se nos outros quartos pq na verdade é uma casa familiar. O staff é muito simpático e disponível e ajudaram-nos com um tour de tuktuk no pouco tempo que tínhamos disponível. O pequeno almoço muito bom. "The worst hotel in the entire universe..toilet smelling..gave used soap wrapped in tissue, no fridge, no vanity, broken shower head, to go to toilet, have to cross wet shower floor, flies sitting all over breakfast food, no tissue, no face towel, no hand towel, reception did not talk, did not provide any information, asked bell boy about dinner, he said buffe, but when went to restaurant, no buffe..only fried rice and pasture..had to abandon the restaurant and went for dinner in the town. Booked...

"We are a Group of 7 from Singapore and we had a Fantastic time at the Villa! Great Chef that does excellent local food. A Villa Manager that organizes everything you ask for. A owner that cares and checks in with us if our stay was alright! Definitely coming back. "

"This small and charming hotel sits high upon the hill, overlooking a nearby village and the Oliphant Tea Factory. It's a quiet location, with stunning rooms - which is a welcome change if you're staying mostly in guest houses or big resorts. "This is a villa converted to a hotel. The have only 4 rooms. The description is misleading. Too expensive. Does not worth it. It should not be rated more than 1 star! The view from the room (Delox twin) is totally obstructed. It smells terrible!"

Must go place when visiting Sri Lanka

"Beautiful property with amazing concept of preserving history. We were really impressed with the building and story. We loved the tea picking experience. Would like to suggest to the hotel to create an non profit to help the community near by and have the guests visit and help on the non profit, this way you will be able to attract more people. "

"This hotel is Absolutely Amazing! The staffs are incredible people, helpful, friendly, kind. One of the best services that we had. Great room with stunning view; breakfast delicious. Also, delicious dinner. We really had a great time there, and super recommend! "
