A farmer's porch to sit on and have your coffee while watching the lobster boats go in and out of the bay. The home is located on a sparsely populated peninsula perfect for de-stressing. Lots of hiking, waterfront exploring, wildlife and of course fresh seafood!"

The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms were well-stocked with everything we needed. My only qualm is that we had stayed here because it was close to Bar Harbor - the listing said it was a 50min drive but was more like an hour 10min and there wasn’t much else to do in Milbridge. "We needed a place to collapse and reset! This was perfect! Secluded and private with a beautiful sandy beach overlooking the lake. Not having to transport our own kayaks was a great plus; kayaks in good shape. The light over the main dining table was not working, as well as a few electric outlets -- we bought a lantern at Walmart in Calais and did just fine. Got a few really cold showers -- finally figured out one of us needed to shower in the am and the other in the pm to get 2 hot...

"The unit was modern, extremely clean. Community fire pits stocked with plenty of wood just bring your own marshmallows 😎. We loved the communication. We received a welcome text the day before our visit and a text the day of our visit with the room code so there was no check in required. "

"This was a captivating setting. If we were to stay there for a few days, it would have been delightful. As it was, we were driving back from Acadia NP. We just weren’t prudent. We were up for indoor camping and maybe even the wood stove, but elected not to stay after arriving after dark…totally our choice. Another time, it would have been PERFECT. "

"We found this hidden gem by chance when looking for a quiet oceanfront place to stay with our family and dog. Home was as advertised and we immediatwly wished we booked a third night. Clean, quiet and right at the waters edge."

"Fans and hair dryers were available along with spices, coffee, tea, and numerous kitchen items.So great! But…. We brought them from home unnecessarily. A couple criticisms- The kitchen cookware was poorly maintained, had hit spots and rounded bottoms- difficult to cook with. Cast iron pans would be a great addition! The fridge needs an ice maker. Knives were very dull- all of them. The compactor and light switches should be labeled for easier use. Living room was rearranged by our group...

"It was nice, but, based on age, but, another door on bedroom would have been great. We had some allergy issues with the basement smell, so we sealed it off. We loved it!!"

"Listing says it’s walkable, but it’s probably a good 20 minute walk and it’s not ideal with kids because of traffic once you get into Acadia. It is a short drive to Jordan pond house though. Our mattress was from 2007 and we did not sleep good at all because of it. Not enough seats for 4 to relax in living room after a long day of hiking either. Very responsive host so that was a positive."

"No need to communicate with property manager as everything was in good condition and self explanatory. Large group arrived at second property which did impact us a bit but we were leaving the next day so not an issue. "
