"We needed a place to stay in Poughquag for a Thanksgiving gathering, and the cabin was perfect."

"Alander is a great place to stay. Room is spacious clean. Bed is comfortable and nice. Decor is over the top. Bathroom is neat and clean. Most of all the staff is accommodating, accessible and responsive to our request even it was late. Love the idea of promoting local products. Love the coffee! The restaurant North Star is superb food was great. Hopefully we can go back in spring. Despite the snowstorm we still enjoyed our stay. "

"O hotel fica a meio caminho entre cidades. Esta instalado numa estrutura muito antiga, com piso desnivelado e que range, uma escada com degraus bem altos, fora do padrão. O quarto é de dimensões razoáveis mas com teto a menos de 2,20 m de altura. O ar condicionado não estava ligado (houve dias de 23/24 gráus.O banheiro pequeno, com uma pia pequena e um chuveiro mínimo. Não houve serviço de arrumação ou troca de toalhas. "This a historic building with "features" you would expect from a historic building. Charming. Each room is unique. Room 1 has a balcony to sit out on. "

"A charming inn with nice rooms upstairs and downstairs and a variety of cozy public rooms on the ground floor. Very nice, serve-yourself continental breakfast, although no hot food (at least not on our weekend). Well-located near the center of Pine Plains."
