"My wife and I travelled to Old Forge for a weekend in snow country. Our stay at the Guide Cottage served our needs well. It was clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance of downtown. Although not fancy, it had everything we needed at a very reasonable price. "

"Yes, this home is every bit as cozy & comfy as described! Immediately felt its charm. Beautiful view of the water from the sliding glass doors. Pine Tree Inn for a meal is less than 5 min. away. Snowmobile access was just down the road 1/4 mi. For any ATT cell users, there is minimal to no signal, but if you stand just outside you can hop onto the WiFi. Well stocked with all necessities! "This was the perfect little house for our stay. Quiet neighborhood and space for the kids to play out back. The house had everything we needed! "

"This property is newly constructed and is off the road surrounded by woods. It is on the trail system so easy access to the Tug Hill trails and close to restaurants. The house itself is beautiful with an open concept in the living room and kitchen. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs while there is a living room, foosball table and another bathroom downstairs. "House was great , very clean and updated. Sleeping was all in one big room, beds were very comfortable. Parking with snowmobile trailer was a little tight, but it worked out ok. I would stay here again. "

"We had a wonderful stay in this cottage in Old Forge. Driveway was plowed so it was easy for us (2 trucks) to park. Cottage was very nice, this was our 2nd stay there. Directions for use of items in the cottage were listed and posted. We look forward to a 3rd stay next year! "

"The cabin was a great getaway for us! All the accommodations were there. Great location rode the trails right into town. Looking to book another stay soon!"

"A nice cozy cabin. It is all one room, so that’s something to keep in mind if you are looking for a separate bedroom. It’s right on a main route, so it’s easy to find. Close enough to Thendara/ Old Forge to get what you need or go out, but still in the woods. Lots of nice hiking nearby and cabin was super comfortable for two. "

"Beautiful cottage. Great combination of rustic / modern appointments. Very well equipped and dog friendly. We absolutely loved having our girl there with us for the weekend. "Could have been a 5 star rating but:1. we had to shovel 5 inches of snow from walkway and deck to get in the house2. Very small amount of toilet paper. Had to go to the store the first evening we arrived. 3. The request to leave an empty dishwater, beds stripped, garbage removed AND to take with us, and floors vacuumed and swept was a bit much. The house is very cute, comfortable and in close proximity to everywhere we wanted to go. "

"This property was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. The house was close to town, yet private; felt very cabin-like, yet had beautiful and efficient conveniences; and featured charming decor. It was a great place to stay, and we will most certainly be back!"
