"The staff is friendly and outgoing. The problem are the rooms and pool area. The rooms are old and shabby looking. Wallpaper is peeling and paint needs to be freshened up. The pool area is dark and unattractive and the plant garden has many dead plants."

"It’s not exactly right on the trail. It’s about a half mile up the road you got a ride the side of the road to get to the trail was fun stay everything was clean."

"We have a very nice stay in Croghan as we were working in the area for a few days. The host was great to communicate with and was very helpful. It was a very small and safe town with a couple of places to eat. We weren't concerned about leaving equipment in the back of the truck at night. The lodgings were clean and basic. Overall a very nice stay, thank you! "

"Very nice house and lots of space. Sandy bottom shallows made for fun times with the kids. Bonus is that there were Labor Day fireworks in the harbor. 4 stars for location as the house is on the channel from Old Forge proper to the main lake (1st) but plenty wide enough feel like lake front. Dock was a plus for boat tie up. Owners were very nice and responsive. "

"It is an older property which has been updated with the necessaries, including kitchen and bath. We chose it for the location but mainly, because we were able to bring our two dogs. There were six of us and although the cottage was cozy, we were perhaps a bit cramped. That would not have been an issue but a rainy week forced us inside more than we would have liked. The location is beautiful - very close to First Lake and right off of Hollywood Road. The side road was excellent for dog walking...
