"Just a tip for those like us who are new to "no-receptionist check-in" stay-in/hotel/motel, make sure to check your email for the Room Number and Security Code. We got our "room information" via email, sent two days before the start of our stay. I highly suggest to arrive at location and check-in as early as allowed to give ample time to rectify any issues, and to pre-register/check-in. For example, in our case, we booked this December 2024 and it's snowing in Nikko, we arrived at our room...

"The house is very lovely and clean. The most important touristic sites are nearby. Yoshiko, the host, is a very kind lady. She picked us up at the station and brought us to the house. She also left fruits, bread, orange juice, butter and yogurt for our breakfast. It was a wonderful stay."

"Beautiful accommodation in a old Japanese style farm house. We had a room in the old warehouse, which was beautifully restored. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's just a perfect place if you're looking for a break from the hustle of the big cities."

"We had a fantastic stay at this Ratuken property! The fit out of the projector in the bedroom, and the comfortable furniture make this a very comfortable stay for two. It would easily handle more people. It's a sizeable apartment. The private semi-outdoor onsen/bath with artificial minerals is a fantastic touch. Very relaxing! It's a short walk from town and there are convenience stores nearby. Highly recommended! "

"We had a wonderful stay at this house located just off the main street in Nikko. The owner is very kind and responsive. It is a large house with three large bedrooms, a living room area, a separate full kitchen, large bathroom with washer, and lots of windows. I liked that the main living area is on the first floor (not the ground level) and the bedrooms are on the second level. The ground level is the garage. You do have to climb stairs to get in and out of the house but that wasn’t an issue...

"We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend with two families; children ranged from 10-14 in age. Communication with the host was great and they were kind and understanding when we arrived late due to traffic. We had a wonderful visit and enjoyed many amenities about the house, as well as the surrounding area. "Bom hotel, as acomodações são boas, quarto espaçoso, camas confortáveis, banheiro de bom tamanho.Tem um onsen para os hospedes. Café da manhã com opções orientais e ocidentais. Funcionários atenciosos. Ótima localização, em frente da estação de trem JR, do ponto de onibus turistico, e a poucos minutos da estação de trem Tobu. "
