"Location is primo. On the boardwalk and Fitzroy beach. You can’t beat sitting on the deck in the evening hearing the surf 👍very comfy bed. Not so comfy inside couch area however didn’t sit around inside much. 😎"

"Great, quiet studio near New Plymouth coastal walkway and beach. Close to cafes and grocery. Great walking along coastal path! Kitchen was well-equipped, small oven (we made pizza!), and electirc skillet. "

"Everything we needed supplied. (Even a dog, Lola)We stayed 3 nights to visit TSB Lights in the park.Unit was comfortable."

"A lovely stay in this beautiful little cabin. It is comfortable and well set up for a relaxing experience in this stunning and peaceful location - perfectly orientated to capture views of the mountain (when it reveals itself) in one direction and the distant ocean in the other. Richard and Hilary were thoughtful hosts and it is well-located to visit some of the wonderful Taranaki gardens, the nearby beaches and to reach New Plymouth. "

"We spent a great week in this wonderful house. The location is impressive, close to the beach and yet within walking distance to all shops and restaurants. The surrounding area also leaves nothing to be desired. All in all, highly recommended..."

"The property was hidden away yet within a short distance from the coast and National Parks. There were several trails within walking distance and Pukerura Park became a favourite location towards the end of the day, having spent several hours there during my first day. It was easy to communicate with Louise and Jonathan should the need arise."

"Fantastic little home in a great location. So close to town and all the activities we did. The house itself was clean and tidy. Toys and books for the kids was great. Perfect for a family. Only downfall was the sofa-bed was not comfortable at all and we couldn’t use it. We would stay again if visiting New Plymouth. "

"Barbwire Bach has everything you need to enjoy its location with the added bonus of having access to their boxing gym. The kids absolutely loved it. Overlooking Opunake Lake and with the beach an enjoyable 3 minute walk away - or longer if the kids want to climb the pohutukawa trees and play on the playground, I have no hesitation in recommending Barbwire Bach and hope to stay again."

"First time staying in New Plymouth as a couple and were apprehensive about staying in a place that wasn’t a motel. Couldn’t have been more impressed. Excellent communication, friendliness and key handover. Comfortable bed, outdoor bath and even a hammock! Felt like our own private nest with everything we needed. Recommend to anyone staying a few nights in New Plymouth :-)Monica "
