"This cabin was great for what my wife and I needed on our weekend visit to the New River Gorge area. Great location at the southern end of the New River Gorge National Park but even closer to Bluestone State Park and Bluestone Lake/Marina being just a few minutes from Hinton,WV. "

"Started each day with a beautiful sunrise and ended with star filled skies. The property is quiet and peaceful. The deck was nice to sip our wine after hiking and exploring the area. We enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Retreat. It was clean and we had everything we needed to be comfortable while away from home. "

"We were in town for a conference and opted to stay at a cabin rather than a hotel. This cabin was perfect and had everything we wanted, including a king sized bed, hot tub, large comfortable couch, and much more. The place was extremely clean and well appointed, and communication with the property manager was prompt and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to come back. Thank you!"

"First time to the area. Easy to get to all three of the parks from the cabin. Pipestem is a beautiful park right acoss the road.The cabin was well equipped with blankets, towels & more . Of course i loved all the bear decor. Would highly recommend this cabin for your vacation spot. We hope to be back in the future.Lots to see and do. do and see"

"My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip for my birthday with our two cats, the entirety of the land was absolutely magical, the most breathtaking views is from campsite 104, we will definitely come back to this stunning place!!"

"This is the fourth time staying here and each time is amazing! Check in and check out is a breeze and done via email or text. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable, and the property is close to everything downtown with a short walk. The shops are awesome and the Asylum next door has great food and drinks! Most places are closed downtown on Sundays or have short hours, but there is still a lot to do. The Lost World Caverns and the Hawk Knob are a 10 minute drive away! 10/10 recommend...

"Just what we needed. Such a beautiful place, especially in the fall. Kitchen was adequately stocked but we brought everything we needed. Cozy beds and plenty of warmth. The grounds are gorgeous and steeped in deep history that is explained on a print out in the cabin. We will be back!"

"Location was excellent and the cabin was clean, nice and isolated. Worked well for what we wanted, but we didn't see the horses while we were there unfortunately"

"The cabin was just what I needed as a place to stay to visit the New River Gorge National Park. I did not have a chance to use some of the extra amenities they offered, such as fire pit and hot tub but everything was ready to go, should I have. Cabin was very clean! I would stay again."

"Great place for peace and quiet! A little noise from highway, but didn’t take away from are stay. Hot tub was my go to at night after a long day of Hiking! Would stay there again without question!"

"The house and the location were exactly what I was looking for. Located near Sandstone Falls and Big Branch Trail. The house is well stocked and clean. The screen porch with the view of the river is a great place to relax. Excellent 2 night stay."

"Had an amazing two night stay here. The place is very clean, spacious, and Wendy is an incredibly kind host. We were even left a Bluetooth speaker and some books to use during our stay (they even extended an offer to keep a book if we were reading something we enjoyed). The area felt very safe, and super close to some beautiful scenery. Would highly recommend."
