"My wife and I chose Doc’s Lakeside Cabin for a weekend away. We arrived at the Cabin during heavy snowfall, and found the property owners quick to plough, salt and maintain the property so that we could come and go freely. The place far exceeded expectations, and is a truly beautiful, serene and tranquil place that is perfect for relaxation. It was so pretty with all of the snow, and made for perfect hot tub weather. It was exactly as pictured—charming, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. "This is an older home (1920’s?) with so much charm. It’s exceptionally well cared for - the floors are clean and in excellent condition, the walls are clean, paint job is beautiful, etc. The air is clean (no smell of mold) bathroom fans work, etc! "Twin Maples was the perfect getaway for our family. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. Our family enjoyed the pool table and lovely patio. Our hosts were very responsive and we enjoyed our stay!"

"Without a doubt this has been one of my best VRBO stays. The property was ready to go and when when the property owner learned we drove for over 5 hourd she even let us check in a little early. The property was set us so every room is cozy and warm and the hot tub was clean and ready for use. Miss. Gloria was a pleasure to work with and very responsive, it was nice to have her and her son so close in case we needed them right away. It rained one day and the firewood we had set out was wet so...

We have been to the trail many times during peak season, but decided we wanted to do something a little more lowkey and bring our dog. "Amazing property that we simply didn't stay long enough to enjoy in its completeness. Billiards and Putt-Putt on entry, so attractive that we started playing before we even unpacked! I'm very artsy interior, and lots of room and outdoor fire pit, multiple decks, and an in-ground pool. The home is even on the grounds, an event venue. Probably a wonderful combination for them! Would enjoy returning, but for a longer stay will you could enjoy all with the property had to offer! Highly recommend it"

"This was a virtual retreat for me. I stayed 4 nights very comfortably in a location that worked well for getting around Cape Girardeau. The neighbors were very considerate of my quiet time! The bed was very comfortable, and the space was inviting."
