"What a spectacular place and people. Omar has been a great host treating us like family. The rooms had clean sheets and spotless bathrooms. The food (zarrab: meat and rice buried under ground) was so good. Omar took us on a four hour tour to different landmarks and famous movie filming sites. When it was time for sunset, we went to a viewing point and watched the magical colors of Wadi Rum. Omar and his brother Sohaib had many stories to tell at night by the campfire. "I’ve stayed in other desert camps around the world and my impression was that Mazayen could be more authentic and it’s definitely not good value for the price. The rooms are ok and comfy enough, but it looks like a regular hotel room. Bathroom cleanliness was a big issue as it looked like it wasn’t cleaned after previous use. The restaurant pavilion is too big and impersonal, there wasn’t bonfire or music the day I was there. The food served for lunch was rather expensive and not of good...

A látogatóközpont próbálja a túrákat lenyúlni, nem fogadd el, hivd a szállást és ott kezdj. Velük lehet egyeztetni mindenről. Kijönnek eléd és bevisznek a szállásra. "The whole experience was terrible. First the camp location is 25km away from where it said. Their location says its in the Wadi Rum Protected zone, once you pay the camp fees thinking you are going to be staying in the protected zone, they ask you to drive 25km back where you were coming from, then ask you to park your car in their private residence and use their 4X4 to get to the location a further 10km away. At this point i refused to go further, just turned back and left for Aqaba. I...
