"Perfect location next to the pub which does fantastic food. Very high end cottage in both style & comfort, very clean too & having a courtyard for the dogs was great as we could sit outside with them. Would definitely stay again. "

"A lovely cosy cottage . In hind site January probably not the best month to visit . Central position, characterful interior . Host very accommodating. "

"The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return."

"Lovely stay. The cottage was just what we expected when we arrived as the online listing is very accurate. The location of the cottage is the biggest plus, but it is also appreciated that the owners are generous in providing all the little extra things within the cottage to help you make the most of your time away. "This is our second year staying at Christmas. It’s great location for Sandsend and Whitby. The house itself is warm well equipped and spacious for the whole family to stay. We love staying here as a family and will be returning again throughout the year."

"This was a lovely stay in a nice peaceful location and very easy to find. I would suggest it would be a stretch for 6 people but for a couple or family with 2-3 kids it would be perfect especially if the kids needed separate rooms. Hosts were great with very good communication throughout. Definitely would return again. Hosts were love"

"We had an amazing week at Misty Cottage over the Christmas week. The cottage was fully equipped and gave 3 generations the space that was needed. The bedroom off the kitchen was perfect for nanny who often wakes early and needs a cuppa and the double and twin rooms on the top floor felt like a little private flat. All rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. What stands out for us is the location. With Whitby town and the beach on your doorstep it was perfect for our dog walks and...

"We had a lovely stay at Lockton Cottage, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The welcome goodies were a great touch, and we really appreciated the tea, milk etc..after our long journey. We would definitely stay again."

"Property was as described and easily accessible. It was equipped with everything you would need for a a short stay and the facilities are fantastic especially the pool and gym. Communication and information provided by Nigel was great and will definitely stay here again."

"Lighthouse was absolutely perfect for a group pf x 3 friends to enjoy time together. What`s not to like about sea views, coastal walking and glorious sunshine ? Internally the lighthouse is tastefully themed all things "sea", comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need. Fabulous."

"This was our third stay in Grassington although our first at Gregory View and how pleased we were to have found this wonderful cottage! Its position was perfect at the top of the village and close to all amenities. The cottage is well equipped with everything we needed and more. The large log burner was very welcome on the cold January evenings too. Absolutely loved our weekend away at Gregory View and can’t wait to return. "

"We had a lovely 2 night stay here, the house is beautifully finished with lots of space. The hot tub was a very welcome addition and we made good use of the living space. Ann was brilliant at providing all the information in advance. My only slight request would be to have some larger pans, cooking for 7 with a small frying pan was quite tricky!! Thanks Ann, we hope to return."

"Comfortable and well equipped home from home. Welcoming and communicative hosts and an excellent guide to the local area. The parking disc was a handy and thoughtful idea! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cooked a few nights in, kitchen is fine and functional. The bath is large and lovely and the bed comfortable . One big comfy sofa with extra blankets would be an upgrade to the living room. Thank you! <3"
