"Plans were a concert at Soaring Eagle, Everything was either booked or unaffordable in Mount Pleasant. Edmore Inn came up on search 18 miles away. (35 minutes). Family room that sleeps 6 was available at a reasonable price. 5 adults slept comfortably. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Pump hand soap, body wash and shampoo in bathroom. Microwave and fridge in room. The furniture is very nice, lodge feel. Was very quiet. Continental breakfast was limited but was given a $5 off...

"A Hidden Gem of Warmth and Charm My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this delightful bed and breakfast, and it truly exceeded our expectations. "We loved our stay! The tiki theme made it feel like a little slice of paradise. The lake was wonderful. The included use of the kayaks and paddle boards was really nice! We made a fire in the firepit outside and used the hot tub while we watched a movie on the TV behind the bar. The loft is nicely appointed and has everything you need, including games (we played Pictionary!). We'll definitely be back again. Thank you to our hosts!"

"My daughter attended rodeo school locally, and I was her support person. It was an extremely hot weekend, and so nice to come back to a clean, quiet, and cool place afterwards. Coincidentally, the place was western/rodeo themed decorated and that was fun. The bed and couch hide-a-bed are comfortable. We hope to stay here again, as it's convenient to rodeo school, and 131 as well as an ice cream place and beach area at the dam. "

"My husband and I stayed for three nights and it was wonderful! The room was very clean, the grounds were beautiful, and the host left plenty of towels! The location is only a few minutes or miles from several different places to eat, drink, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, or tube. "

"The Castaway Resort was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, clean and cozy. My views of Croton Dam Pond were fabulous and I even got to see some Baltimore Orioles. I went for a week of solitude to spend time weaving on my little workshop loom. I had the peace and quiet I needed to concentrate. The Hosts, Bob and Joy were 100% available and accommodating, and my sweet dog Poppy was completely welcomed. I would definitely return. I'm thinking maybe in the fall when kids are back in...

"The location on the river is amazing. Even better than we expected. Pricing is on point. We found it very relaxing in the mornings to sit out front and have a coffee. In the afternoons it was fun to swim and watch the boats go by. We did some fishing and caught some bluegill and perch.The host were very friendly and had great communication. I would give the hosts & rental 10 stars if I could but it only allows me to give 5!"

"This cozy bungalow worked perfect for our family of 5 as we had friends on the lake and were able to keep our boat at their home. Very clean, smelled fresh when we arrived. The kids loved the loft and 2/3 slept up there comfortably. The 'waterfront' was more like a channel (definitely not swimmable) but my kids enjoyed the wildlife and catching frogs. I liked sitting out in the morning having my cup of coffee. Wound rent again 😉 Thank you"

"Just like the pictures. Very quiet for the 4th of July. Jasmir was very responsive to our inquiries. Price was very reasonable. The water was great for drinking as we don't drink bottle water and the shower was fabulous. Good water pressure and very hot water. I would definitely recommend staying."

"Liked the seclusion and privacy after working was very surprised on hot and humid days house stayed cool even without ac. Wifi was more for my experience and work I wish I could have accessed.....overall great place for seclusion and privacy."
