"One thing I learned after staying at this hotel was to not judge a book by its cover. Upon pulling up to the hotel, I was concerned. First, it is in a somewhat desolate area with very little around. Secondly, the sign off the highway looks as though a bomb went off in it. Lastly, the photograph on Expedia was not a good representation of what the actual exterior looks like. At night, the sign on the building has a lot of the lights burned out and overall, was not very inviting. We ended up...

"This is a nice little place right off of the interstate and close to some fast food joints. It’s nothing special, but it is clean and doesn’t suck. Much better than Motel 6 or Super 8, but probably in the same category. Nice helpful and friendly staff. Parking was easy to find, but spots across from the building had some puddles and mud. Would stay here again! Recommended for anyone looking for a quiet stay that doesn’t cost too much."

"We had the very best weekend here! So much so, that my kids are convinced that we need to live in a Tiny House and my fiancé is shopping for one haha! The location is perfect, we had everything we could have possibly needed, the hosts are the sweetest and sooo helpful and responsive! Communicating with them was an absolute delight. We plan on staying here annually with our children and we cannot wait for our next stay!"

"This property is in a quiet, secluded area with plenty of property to explore and enjoy family time. The house is perfectly appointed, very clean and has rustic charm with all the modern amenities. The coffee nook was a nice touch as well. The location is in the middle of all the activities we participated in, hiking, zip lining, swimming, antique shopping and wine tasting. I recommend this house and location for a trip to southern Illinois."
