"This an elegant hotel at the edge of JMU campus. It is not far from dining and shopping. I stayed during Christmas so it was quiet (other than barking dogs next door). My room was the King suite so it had the essentials for cooking and food storage. There was a dining table and a couch in the room. One night I had a cheeseburger and fries from the hotel restaurant and it was delicious put pricey ($21). I didn’t have any issues during this stay and I would stay here again. Next time I will use...

"Unfortunately we did not get much sleep after being on the road all day as the family across the hall had children yelling and running up and down the hallway in front of our door (and slamming doors) until very late hours and then it started again at 6am. I advised the front desk staff. Aside from that, the place is very comfortable and clean and I loved the cookies and popcorn provided at check-in and the breakfast options were very good! "

"Staff was courteous and accommodating, and the mattress and linens very nice. However, the building was dated and the mattress laid upon a noisy flimsy coily steel stand, which was not appropriate for such a nice mattress."

"Great stop on a longer trip- the front desk clerk, Christian, was particularly helpful. Poor guy had to wield a plunger for us and recommended dining options with an equally cheerful and polite attitude. He seems to really enjoy his job. Handicap room was outfitted with the usual amenities and fully met our needs. "
