"My partner, me and our two dogs had a lovely weekend up here. Beautiful place to stay at lovely fenced area for your dogs. Beach so close. Was supper easy to communicate with the property manager and got a very fast response for a question I had. Would definitely recommend to stay there to anyone who is travelling to Whakatāne."

"What a cute, remote, little place this is! All you hear are the rumble of the waves and look out on the vista of the Bay of Plenty and Whakari/White Island. Highly recommend. If you're in need of supplies, Opotiki is a 10 minute drive away otherwise, enjoy the wilderness. Fully equipped unit to spend time away from it all. "

"Fantastic concept but lacks quality cooking items, a fridge way below capacity for the amount of guests that can be accommodated, no Wifi and lacks not having an 80 inch tv in the dining area to cater for sporting groups or large family gatherings etc. A beautiful place with an amazing view of the lake."

"What a lovely dog friendly place to stay, with a small fenced grassed area that is safe to let your dog be loose in. Parks and 11 km of Sandy beach right across the road , take-away choices walking distance few 100 meters down the road. It is quite a main road though so even though the unit has double glazing if you are not used to traffic noise trucks rumbling past might wake you through the night ( or the occasional loud motorbike or boy-racer type ). Just info for those easily woken by...
