"The place was exactly as depicted in the pictures - fresh, clean, cozy, comfortable, serene with a gorgeous view! The reason I'm only giving it an overall rating of 4, is because: 1 - There's no bathtub (yes, the description clearly states shower only - but come on! e/o loves a bath after a tiring day..) 2 - There is a raised stone slab on the floor where the fireplace should be. "I would give Shadowcrest ten stars if I could! An absolutely beautiful home in the Catskills. The attention to detail in this guest house is amazing. Everywhere I looked was something delightful. I could lounge on the porch for hours. The bed and the pillows were comfortable, but the shower was to die for. Brendan was charming and engaging to talk to. And my dog was welcome. I can not say enough good things about this place. We will definitely be back!"

"I was on a motorcycle trip ... I got there mid morning ... hours ahead of check in time. I was saturated from traveling on motorcycle through mountain areas in a very heavy storm.
