"Doug and Janet were great hosts. They were quick to respond with questions. They also met us at a local restaurant and led us up to the house. They also have Juli to be a concierge for your stay. She is amazing by scheduling excursions during your stay and was there when we could t find the location for an excursion by directing us and then calling the company to let them know we would be there. "This stay was exactly as advertised. We were a party of two and had plenty of space. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped that we could make food from the grocery store up the road and was perfectly placed with several restaurants within walking distance. Property management was more than accomidating when our arrival time was completely de-railed due to accidents and road work. "

"The apartment was really nice and spacious. I definitely recommend this place. It would be nice to have a drying rack for wet towels, etc. The road to the apartment is dirt, so when it rains the road gets very muddy and can have lots of cars, so is tricky for walking along. "

"My husband and I thoroughly researched properties in Uvita while planning our trip and are so grateful we found Casa Bambu. This jewel exceeded our expectations! The road up is no joke. We love to offroad so the 3 bumpy, curvy miles wasn't a concern for us but make sure you rent a 4x4 with low range and make the drive part of your adventure it's 15 to 20 minutes through the jungle each way. Casa Bambu is surrounded by lush trees and tropical plants with a clear view of La Ballena below. You...

"While traveling with my family of 5, this house provided an amazing base for us to explore this beautiful country from. The house is large, flawlessly clean and in good order and situated right on the hillside surrounded by forest. We spotted macaws and toucans from the pool and could hear the howler monkeys in the distance (sometimes maybe not so distant) while enjoying our morning coffee. "1) wrong address listed. Took me 20 minutes to figure out that the correct address was listed only in the email. Email wasn’t clear that google maps and Apple Maps was wrong. 2) no communication with the property as we were figuring out the address in the dark 3) villa booked wasn’t provided to us as their was no power in the villa which was initially booked 4) no internet provided during our stay. 5) had to figure out the water supply issue on one of the days of our stay 6) I have been trying...

"We loved the house, pool, views, and yes animals. You are in the rainforest. We loved that we could keep the bedroom door closed with AC and keep the critters out. Otherwise be ready for outdoor living. Also it did come with a difficult drive uphill on a dirt and bumpy road for 10 minutes. It was fun driving but even with our 4x4 it limited how many times we were willing to make the drive every day. The beds could be better and some small repairs were needed but not enough to dampen our time....
