"Check in was a little disappointing. Original 3rd floor room replaced with 2nd floor even though paid extra for upgrade. Champagne wasn't in room for the surprise arrival or bags. Apparently in level 3 room. So took the ambience & celebration out of the special event. One can not take back the memory. Was very disappointed in receptions attitude as well, even when tipped. "Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and 2 teenagers. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our King size bed was comfortable but there were bunks for our kids that weren’t so comfortable, maybe I should have asked for 2 single beds. Found the location great with access to Sovereign hill via a separate entrance, so can come and go during the day you visit Sovereign Hill.
