Palms Resort #2711 is a Junior 2BR/2BA, which is a 2 bedroom with a full-sized master plus a smaller bedroom and 2 full sized bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower. The master has a king-sized bed. The second room has a new bunk bed with full over full, a television and its own bathroom entry. There's a new pull-out sofa bed in the living room. This unit also has a washer and dryer.

Snowbird Season runs November thru February. For a quote, select an arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and a departure date (must be the 1st day of a subsequent month). As an exclusive guest you will enjoy Destin’s largest lagoon pool beneath swaying palms or simply enjoy our many amenities including kid's activities, fitness center, kids' playground, tennis and basketball courts. You'll also be within walking distance of Joe's Crab Shack, Bubba Gump Shrimp Factory, The Back Porch (a Destin classic), Ruth's Chris Steak House, Jim-N-Nick's BBQ and Hooters.  

The 11,000 square foot, 259,000 gallon zero entry pool is Destin’s largest lagoon pool! You'll be blown away by the 5 dancing waterfalls, walking bridges and spacious lounging area. There's a 21,000 gallon heated pool, children's splash area and whirlpool spa.

The Palms of Destin Resort features a 2,265 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center including elliptical cardio treadmills, cross trainers, bikes and summit trainers each having a personal entertainment system.

The Palms of Destin offers full size basketball courts and two lighted tennis courts, with complimentary equipment available from guest services in the resort lobby. The Palms of Destin also offers lessons and clinics taught by USPTA and USPTR tennis professionals.

Seasonal shuttle to Public Beach, Destin Commons, & Harborwalk Village. Henderson State Park at a small fee.  Please inquire with the front desk for information on shuttle times. The Palms is a smoke free complex with an array of amenities. Some amenities are occasionally closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

Nice, but not as advertised or baited.
Let me start by saying this was a charming condo and if it was advertised as it actually was, I would have given it a higher rating. This is NOT a short walk to the beach or on the beach. Which anyone looking at the photos and reading the advertisement would assume who isn't familiar with the property. The beach access by "short walk" is across not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, but a 6 lane major Hwy. Not a safe or feasible walk with a family. A very cruel joke given the amount of money we paid to stay there on the premise of its location to the beach. When we checked in, I made a light joke, "So y'all aren't on the beach? I was then asked, "Let me guess, you booked with a 3rd party? We get that a lot." It did make me feel slightly better not to be the only one at the bottom of the pyramid scheme, but sad for all of us folks who saved and drove hours to enjoy some good ole false advertisement. If you are not opposed to this, here are my few personal pros and cons. Cons: Mold/Mildew in the washing machine from the door left wet and closed. We were not told about the unloading zone nor the carts for helping aid with getting your belongings from the car to condo. This means we lugged luggage, kids, and all that entails from a parking deck to the condo via multiple trips. We were not told about how the trash was to be disposed, but you cannot miss the dumpster they are right in front of the condos :(...It's won't let me type more, so you will just have to imagine

4 day getaway
This unit was clean and exactly what we were expecting for our quick getaway. Clean, nicely decorated, and exactly what the listing described. Plenty of shower towels. Bring your own beach towels. Close to Walmart and Target right down the road if you need to purchase anything. If planning to cook in the condo, you will need to buy seasonings. Overall very happy with our stay! Thank you!

Property was clean and we'll maintained. Comfortable beds, excellent water pressure in showers. View off balcony was beautiful. Shuttle service was convenient and on time. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

Great Getaway
The condo was in a great location in Destin! Minutes to the public beach, great eating, etc. the resort offers a fun stay for families, beautiful pool, and plenty of on site amenities. We got in late so the check-in process was a bit confusing. The property manager communicated effectively and very thoroughly. One warning to parents with young children going to bed early, loud music booms until 10pm. Be aware of this if your kids struggle falling asleep! But overall the stay was great, condo was adorable and very comfortable!

Condo was just as pictured . Everything is updated and very clean . The property is 10/10. The kids loved the swimming pool area - very kid friendly. The bistro downstairs has really good tacos and fresh food . The gourmet coffee is a plus in the cafe ! Would definitely stay here again

The room was very nice and clean and over looked the pool. I think the bar and restaurant are missing the boat with entertainment though. They had a DJ inside and a "band" outside. The band consisted of a guy playing beats and another guy playing a bongo. They were good if that's what you're into but gave off rave vibes. Didn't seem to attract many guest actually staying there. Other than that it was exactly what we were looking for.

Very clean, great area
The unit was as advertised, very clean and updated decor. Minor issues with beds, the King mattress seemed to be too big for the box spring and the top bunk mattress very thin and uncomfortable. Also since weather was uncooperative could have used more blankets. The restaurant downstairs was also nice. Overall we had a great time.

Convenient and Comfortable
We had a very nice stay in Destin, facilitated by this clean and comfortable space not far from any of the key areas. Balcony was great, access to pool(s) was wonderful, and we had a nice overall vacation.

Great family vacation apot
We loved staying at the palms in this condo. The condo was extremely clean with plentiful fresh linens, the beds were comfy and the balcony had great views. The check in process was so easy. We stayed for 5 days and never once heard anyone while we were in our condo. It was quiet and perfect. We went end of February and the big pool was cold since they don’t heat it. There is one small pool that they do heat that we spent most of our time in and the hot tub is enjoyable too! The grounds were well kept and clean. The pool area is perfect for little kids and big kids! The walk in entry was a great place for my 1 year old and 3 year old to play in. We loved staying here and will most definitely be going back! One thing to note is the kitchen is not stocked with any spices or salt so if you plan on cooking, make sure you bring all of your own seasonings! Otherwise all of the dishes and pots and pans were exactly what we needed!

Great for a small family
We had a great 4 night stay here! The place was clean, check in was easy (tip: if you arrive after front desk is closed, call the number on reservation to speak with security to get your wrist bands and building code), and parking plentiful. The public beach is across the highway, but an easy drive or walk, albeit a decent walk). My daughter absolutely LOVED the bunk beds and TV setup, actually cried because she didn’t want to leave that setup! Thanks for a great stay, will be looking to book again for another trip!

We stayed for our wedding reception that was on another property and enjoyed the peace and quiet at The Palms. There was nightlife if we wanted it but the pool was calm and relaxing and we plan to return.

Fall break family vacation
Wonderful and accommodating property. Easy check in process and very clean property. We were pleasantly surprised at how large the condo was vs pictures they don’t do it justice. Well stocked kitchen and lots of beach toys, chairs, and umbrella at the condo. My only complaints was that there were queen sheets on the king bed and the shuttle only runs on the weekends to the beach during off season (early Oct visit). Highly recommend Henderson beach vs the public beach across from the condo. Worth the extra couple minutes trip by car. The pools were great for small children hoever only one small pool is heated the larger pools are not and very chilly for a Oct visit. Overall very pleased with this stay.

Wonderful family vacation!
Room was great, location of the condos are great, you’re not directly on the ocean but if your like us with littles you know the ocean itself isn’t where you plan to spend tons of time. The lagoon pool is so much fun and perfect for kids. Room was clean, cute and super functional for kids with the bunk room. My only complaint would be the king bed seems to be a little broke down. Kind of felt like we were gonna roll off the bed each side but with some addition of supports I am sure that can be easily remedied. We will be returning in the future!

1 week stay in Destin
We had a great time during our stay, enjoyed the amenities and the area. Condo was very clean upon arrival. Tons of bathroom towels, which was very nice. 2nd bedroom was perfect for our 2 children. Conveniently located across the street from the beach and nearby many restaurants and shops and the grocery store. Beautiful pool and we never felt crowded. Live music from the restaurant bar was very nice. Unfortunately we did run into several issues during our 1 week stay: When we arrived to check-in, the front desk did not have our reservation. When I told them it was through RealJoy, they laughed and said "oh, that's why." and then let me know I would need to call RealJoy and ask them to send over my reservation. After traveling 14+ hours, I should not have to remind the reservation company of my stay-- that should be already done. The swimming pool was so cloudy most of the stay that you could not see to the bottom. It's a beautiful pool, and we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of it. The fridge was not cold at all upon arrival. We put cold groceries in at 4pm and by 11pm everything was warm. Reached out to owner at 11:30pm and was told to let them know if it was still not cold in the morning. The next day the fridge was a little bit colder, however everything had to be moved to the freezer in order to be kept cold enough for use. In the morning we asked that they please send someone to look at the fridge so that we could keep our groceries cold. We were told someone would stop by, no one ever came. Thankfully by day 3 the fridge had finally gotten cold to keep our groceries cold. We assume the fridge was turned off between guests, if this is the case, it should be turned back on in adequate time to properly get back to an acceptable cold for incoming guests. The sheets and comforter on the king bed were queen sized. We kept waking up on the mattress. Once we requested new bedsheets, they were delivered--however we still had only the queen comforter during our entire stay. Toilets are very loud with every single flush-- would wake up our children in the middle of the night. Kitchen could use a new knife set-- the current set is useless. There is also no Tupperware. We had to go to the nearby Walmart and buy some so that we could store food for the week. An extra kitchen hand towel or 2 would have been nice. Bedroom sliding door did not have a lock. This didn't bother us, but a safety concern.
