This home is in the wonderful Capitol Hill neighborhood where there is so much to do all in walking distance. Check out the pictures for an idea of the neighborhood.

You’ll love my Scottish themed row-house because It's a charming old house that sits up above the street with a beautiful private porch with gated entrance.This beautiful, private, & secure sanctuary is a great spot to call home while you are in Denver . This home has all the charm of the 19th Century and all the modern conveniences of the 21st century. It is comfortable, modern and secure.

Within this area is a great deal to do, you'll see in the pictures some of my favorite spots and all of them are within 10min walk of the house. Rated with a walk-score of 90, you are staying near the heart of the city while still having an easygoing neighborhood feel.

Detached garage comes with the house.

The historical Capitol Hill neighborhood is rich with culture and diversity. It is one of the most sought after areas to live in Denver. Just blocks away from the Governor's Mansion, The Kirkland Museum, The Denver Art Museum, The Molly Brown House, and The Capitol Building, you will not run out of things to do without needing to travel far. It is also within walking distance to Cheeseman Park and the Denver Botanic Gardens, a must see while in town. It is also within minutes by car of many Denver attractions such as the Denver Zoo and the Denver Aquarium.

Wonderful house in great location
This house is really great. The kitchen is well-stocked. The outdoor space with the picnic table and the cute table and chairs in front are both wonderful. Downstairs is the kitchen, large dining, and den area - and it has a fun Pac-Man machine! Oh -and there is also a small bathroom that is just so cute. Upstairs is the 3 bedrooms with a full bath. The washer/dryer are in the basement - there is also a couch and TV down there (we didn't need to use the basement). The location is close to all things around downtown. I walked quite a bit and felt very safe. It is just a short .5 mile or less walk to Cheesman Park. Communication with the owner is excellent. We didn't have any issues at all and we really liked the house.

Character filled home close to everything!
We had a wonderful stay at this quirky, cute and well maintained and equipped home. It is just a short Uber ride or 15-30 minute walk to most of the Capitol are attractions. Our host was extremely responsive and lovely to deal with. Definitely would return if we’re ever in Denver.

If you like A/C don’t stay here
This property has a Nest thermostat. It consistently locked at a much higher temperature than we would have preferred. The property manager would change the thermostat to cooler and then it would go back to a scheduled much hotter temperature overnight and we would wake up in the night hot and sweaty. The ceiling fans do not go to high and only one box fan. The cleaning needs some work. Both shower curtains had mold. Food on the outside of the dishwasher and the floors weren’t clean. Also the garage is not just short. The width is also very small due to garbage cans and storage. Location was good for touring Denver. It was also great that there was coffee for the keurig and 6 bottles of water since we arrived late. Also there was a styrofoam cooler we used on our road-trip day into the mountains. Communication needs to be more concise. We got so many messages with multiple codes. One message day of check in would be better with specific numbers listed for each keypad.

Family of four
Family of four for long weekend coming from New England. Joshua was super accommodating. The house is great. Has everything you need; kitchen even has spices for cooking, plenty of pots and pans. Bathrooms have toilet paper, soap, shampoo and conditioner. TVs come with direct TV and are in each room. There is a garage for parking which is very convenient bc this is a city but will not hold a large SUV. If I were to visit the area again I would definitely stay here. We were visiting during a heat wave, 100°, so walking wasn’t exactly in the cards and so renting a car was a must. Plus we did a lot of exploring around the state. Great time.

Great spot for four adult friends (one couple) to hang out for a few days and see Denver. Very clean (and I'm picky), great communication, and cozy mix of old home vibes and eclectic decor. Walkable to a ton of restaurants and coffee shops, and a short drive to everything else. Downstairs shower is a little tight but completely workable. Gas fireplace was a great perk during cold evenings on the couch. Dedicated garage was also incredibly convenient and saved us the stress of street parking. Loved my mattress and pillows so much that I actually took pictures of the tags. So nice that every light switch, closet, and drawer was labeled. Absolutely no complaints.

Easy rental process. Joshua, the property owner/host is accessible and willing to help. The house has everything a (younger) person could want, including a bottle opener by the back patio and a Pacman console. However, for those specifically interested in a kitchen and amenities of a home, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the property, especially given Covid and the hefty cleaning fee charged (twice the other property we were considering). The refrigerator/freezer is not full size and was dirty; the refrigerator froze our newly purchased Farmers Market groceries and the very small freezer appeared not to have been cleaned in months, if ever. The whole house needs a good scrub. For those who care, the sheets are synthetic, not cotton. All this said, it’s a perfect spot for a larger family or three sets of friends willing to share a bathroom (as the second bathroom has a shower off the stairs to the basement, so it’s fine to use as a powder room/toilet but not a desirable shower). Capitol Hill, a convenient 10-minute walk to the museums, which was the purpose of our visit, is also currently a tent city for the urban homeless. We were not aware of this prior to our arrival. Even for seasoned New Yorkers, it was a shock to see and experience each day as we walked to and from the museums or our for coffee.

Awesome home base for our long weekend in Denver over Labor Day! House was clean and check in was a breeze. Great neighborhood with lots to do within walking distance. Our family reunion was made even better by Joshua's well-stocked and very comfortable home. Plenty of cooking supplies made eating in a breeze. The beds and linens were top quality too. The best feature was the enchanting back yard garden and the fun neighborhood. Great job!!
