We booked a balcony room with breakfast for 3 and paid extra for both. We checked in and got to the room and there was no balcony and only breakfast for two.
When I returned to the desk we were told all balcony rooms were under construction and unavailable (hot tub also). The older guy at the desk on New Years Eve was rude and refused to do anything about the room.
After we got another employee involved, magically, our room was connected to a room with a balcony and they provided that to us (so they lied first as this connected room was not under construction).
Then, after we asked another employee about the hot tub it turned out that wasn’t closed either they just hadn’t turned it on. We couldn’t use it because it took hours to heat up.
The restaurant had only two options available from their menu (squash soup and something else) and they were out of everything else.
The server at breakfast was unattentive and had to be hunted down for the check and drinks. The front desk lady at check out asked for feedback about our stay and then said it was all Expedia’s fault and the balcony rooms were all unavailable even though they got us one.
The only employee who should be allowed in the service industry was the woman working the bar in Breckenridge pub. She was friendly and helpful.
It’s a nice property with a ton of potential, but it was easy to understand by how bad the staff was why the hotel was empty on New Years Eve. I just can’t see how they stay in business.
