"Lovely stop over on our way to family. Beautiful home decorated for the holidays and had all the amenities we needed plus little snacks! We got to the a beautiful sunset off the dock and our twins got their own rooms and bathroom. It would’ve cost more to get two rooms at Williamsburg hotel. So happy we got to stay here! Would love to stay the week during summertime! Beautiful home and location! "

Note to future renters - the property and it's amenities have been greatly loved. The peddle boat rudder wasn't working, one of the kayaks was cracked and leaking, hot tub never got up to temperature, several nails were popping up out of the deck which had several loose boards and splinters, and the kitchen needed some work as the knobs were...

"Shannon's home is gorgeous. My husband and I had a fantastic time celebrating our anniversary here. The views are exquisite and the cottage is very comfortable. It was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. It feels remote and isolated but food and stores are only 15 minutes away! We can't wait to return!peaceful and very comfortable. "

"My husband and I booked this property for a cozy winter weekend away. This is one of those properties that ends up being BETTER in person than the listing indicated. We didn't even leave the house the entire weekend. The kitchen was so well stocked that we just cooked our meals. The hot tub was so clean, relaxing and had he BEST view of the river. We were lucky enough for it to snow while were were there. It was a gorgeous scene! I really can't say enough good things about this property - they...

"This was just what we needed for our holiday trip. The water views were great, saw various water birds including geese and a heron that posed for us out back. The place was clean and had all of the amenities of home. We are considering making this a holiday tradition!"

"We spent an early Thanksgiving here at Mike's beautiful home. Probably one of the most well equipped vacation homes we have ever visited. The setting is incredibly beautiful, private yet close to shopping and restaurants. definitely will be coming back."

"The house is lovely and the view of the river is gorgeous - especially the sunsets. There are huge windows looking out into the the trees and the river. There was plenty of space for all 8 of us. The kitchen has everything you would need - even popover pans! The owners were wonderful: when the kitchen faucet broke, they fixed it immediately.The private beach is lovely too - although we couldn't really use it that much given it was December. It would be great to come back in the summer."
