"I had notified the owner that my husband cannot have dairy or eggs, when I made the reservation. The owner/manager seemed unaware, but since the breakfast was French Toast, my husband was able to eat it. The following day, I woke up feeling very unwell (happens after 7 years of cancer/60 treatments). The same person asked me if eggs over easy would be ok, and I said no, I was feeling very unwell and would appreciate something light. He became ANGRY and snapped that this is NOT how B&B works. I...

"This was a spacious property with a beautiful view and lovely outdoor public areas. Welcoming and helpful host and rooms were clean and cool. This is a gem. "

"Property was exactly as described and we enjoyed our stay. Had a beautiful sunset and enjoyed sitting on the porch having breakfast and coffee in the morning. Owner very responsive to questions when checking in. Great spot to use as a launching point to the north rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Would definitely stay here again if in the area in the future. "

"Beautiful property, outstanding views and a pleasure to be there. I found the cabin and bathhouse to be just the right mix of rustic and fancy. Will return again!"

"The glamping tent was wonderful - very spacious, comfy bed. And there was a heater and a fan - we needed the fan because it was so hot (but so much cooler at night). Siiting on the deck was so relaxing - very pretty plantings all around. And quiet. Only 1 other tent. The shower was close and worked so well. The porta potties looked and smelled nice and clean (however, bring a flashlight). "

"Great location to visit the National Park and Wineries in the area. Beds are very comfortable and pool table was awesome!"

"We loved our stay at Fort Austin. Very comfortable. The front porch is so enjoyable for the view and relaxing. We also enjoyed getting to know Tim and hear his stories. We will definitely be back, hopefully bring friends too."
