Boathouse on the Lake

*ON THE WATER. * 4.3 miles to CUYUNA BIKE TRAILS. * 2.2 miles to (2) different golf courses. PENINSULA PRIVACY. Close to HEARTLAND HOCKEY CAMP. Private apple orchard. Loons nesting on property. Close to restaurants, shops, but yet private and peaceful. GREAT swimming lake with raft and water toys. Cozy one bedroom boathouse on Hamlet Lake. Inside, a queen bed, bathroom/shower, fireplace, and air conditioning. Free Kayaks available for use on Hamlet Lake. Free wood for bonfires. 25 private acres abutting a creek on one side, hard sand bottom swimming lake on the other side.

The boathouse was built in 1946, and is right on the edge of shore. My house is not too far away, but we are not often home so youā€™ll have good privacy. Welcome!!!!

RoKu TV if you have a hotspot but WiFi is expected in by 6/1/23. Most guests come to a retreat like setting to relax, and I have available many recreational amenities free to use and explore ( and they do!). 26 acres of private acres, boathouse is directly on the lake, which is one of the cleanest in Crow Wing County. Plus weā€™re near the Cuyuna bike trails Deerwood access. My boathouse is from 1946, and grandfathered in, so some changes are not allowed, such as a bathtub or change in dimensions. There is a shower, standard sized toilet, sink vanity that was part of the boathouse before building restrictions changed a number of years ago. A mini-fridge does not have a freezer, but I have many smaller appliances such as burner/oven/microwave/fry pan/ and other amenities. I have a freezer in the garage guests can use if requested ahead of time. You may use my little gas grill or a charcoal grill. I live on a peninsula, and one side is sugar sand swim area. Wild meadow flowers and an undeveloped shoreline. The peninsula has wildflowers and is completely undeveloped, and a narrow path on the narrow peninsula. My house is on the property, but you will have peace and privacy because Iā€™m seldom home or if I am, Iā€™m usually inside reading a book. Come enjoy quiet lake living! Coming in 2024 WIFI.

Cozy Retreat

This is a perfect place for someone who is single or a couple. It has everything you need to get the cabin experience...cozy cabin right on the water, fire pit, kayaks, a canoe, a dock to either watch the sunset or have your morning coffee on and lots of nature. This time I saw a gray owl. I can't wait to go back again.

We made the best of it

Beautiful lake setting, the lake cabin is about 15 steps to the front door of the main house where the host Son and his girlfriend stay and we were told the host lives down the road. The docks, swimming area and firepit area and lake cabin you are renting are all in the yard of the main house. I was needing to work a few hours a day while there and booked because it said WIFI was available. it is indeed not available and I had to go into a nearby town 20 minutes away to find WIFI. There is plenty of DVDs and books there if you don't need WIFI your good to go. The box spring on the bed was broke so you rolled into the center of the bed which was very uncomfortable. I informed the host to which she said " I am not sure about the box spring the last couple didn't say anything about it" You cant see its broken but once you lay on the bed and it slumps in you can tell something is not right and its not comfortable. We did see the people whom live in the main house out cleaning fish on the wall next to the lake cabin next to the dock we were fishing on. The young lady was very kind and said the host has had complaints about the bed and was in the process of purchasing a new mattress which we advised its the box frame not the mattress that is the issue, so maybe that will be fixed soon? We made the most of it and put the mattress on the floor for sleeping. It was very peaceful and relaxing fishing off the docs and a beautiful view in the cabin over the lake.

Great stay!

Was very nicely set up with everything you might need in a cabin bed & bedding & grill. Fishing was little slow but you could caught fish with worms any time we used mostly spinners. Got 7 bass 1northern several panfish in 2 days. Very quiet and private get away.

Romantic get away!

We stayed for Valentineā€™s weekend. Nice quiet weekend together to unplug from the regular day to day.. So nice to just sit and talk turn off our devices and reconnect. We got out and snowshoed on the lake so much fun.. Great hostess, great communication, amazing amenities.. Going to stay again. Such a fun getaway!

Quiet and beautiful!

The boathouse is quiet, clean and peaceful. Checking in was seamless and communication with Sue was as easy as it gets. My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and couldnā€™t have asked for more! Plenty of things to do in the area or stay on the property and enjoy the kayaks, swimming or relaxing on the docks with a beverage. Will definitely be coming back again!

Great get- a- way right on the lake. Views were fantastic. Lots of windows provided a nice breeze coming in off the lake. Lots of great movies and books provided for relaxing and viewing pleasure. Lots of restaurants nearby and the fun town of Crosby for shopping.

The boathouse and property were beautiful. We had everything we needed plus a few extras like fresh raspberries and apple trees to enjoy. We visited the local bike trails, restraunts and mini golf. We did a lot of fishing and enjoyed the sights and sounds of being literally on watersededge.

Relaxing getaway

Beautiful location, views, and amenities. I made use of one of the kayaks and appreciated the ease of getting in and out of it at the shoreline. The private dock with chairs was another great way to experience the water and wildlife. I saw muskrat, loons, and fish. 10/10 would recommend.

Peaceful and Relaxing

From our busy life to paradise! We needed to de-stress big time and this location was perfect. The lake was calming and beautiful, the boathouse couldnā€™t have been better. We woke up and went to bed to lake views and sounds. It was hard to leaveā€¦we hope to be back! Host was very accessible and friendly when we had questions.

The property is so beautiful, peaceful and relaxing! The cabin has the perfect view right on the lake. Saw a bunch of different wildlife, had bonfires, kayaked, and explored shops/restaurants close by. Highly recommend this boathouse cabin!! 10/10 weekend getaway. We will be back!

Didn't want to leave, can't wait to return again!

This was my second time staying here. The property offers a great escape from, well, everything. It is well located just 10 minutes from downtown Crosby full of some great spots! I really enjoy the cozy, quiet feel of the Boathouse. This was my second trip, both of which were in the colder months. It offers great views of the lake, and outstanding sunsets. Everything is comfortable and well maintained. I look forward to trying this out in warmer months.
