LOG CABIN on a rushing trout stock creek.Beautiful setting with the creek in your backyard. You can hear the rushing waters from the back deck. Beautiful handcrafted red cedar furniture accents this beautiful Log Cabin. If you are looking for a Creekside retreat, you will love this. Elk Creek is listed as an Outstanding Resource of Water by state of NC and stock monthly from Mar-Aug.
This log home offers serene setting along the creek, but yet convenient to areas of attraction like Boone (Appalachian State Univ.) and Blowing Rock(Tweetsie Railroad). It is a 15-20 min ride up the mountain to many restaurants and shops etc. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Leatherwood Stables (horseback riding) are within 10-15 min drive.
The Cabin offers handcrafted red cedar and pine log furniture throughout and kitchen is equipped with all you will need for cooking and baking. A gas fireplace in the living room will surely take the chill out of the air in the winter but we also have central air and heat. You will find this very quiet and cozy. The hot tub in on a covered porch for privacy. Come visit and make it a memorable vacation for you and your family.

Peace and quiet

I took my 2 boys for a long weekend and loved it. Im not sure which way the 10 acres align as you do have neighbors on one side. Gorgeous water and absolutely relaxing. Would definitely stay again.

Just what we were looking for! A few suggestions:1. We knew we were off the grid, but didn't realize there would be gravel roads. Prepare your guests for this.2. Add 5/night and stock extra paper products3. Add another 5/night and eliminate "please take your trash with you". Pay the housekeepers to dispose of it.4. Change check out time to 11:00 AM.5. Replace frying pans.Repeating......we loved your property and will be back after the fish stocking hatcheries are back in business!

Nice and Quiet

Stayed for a birthday/father's day. It was relaxing and quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware which made it easy to cook at the cabin. The river in the back was very peaceful with plenty of fish in it. The host was very fast as responding to anything as well.

The cabin and surrounding area were beautiful! We loved being able to hear the stream/river. The hot tub was great after spending a day up on Appalachian Mountain.

Riverside Cabin

Wife and I plus our 2 golden retrievers enjoyed our stay. We went into town ā€œBooneā€ which is about a 35 minute drive. The cabin was great! The river behind the property has some deep spots where the pups loved to jump into. No cell service but the wifi was great and the house has a phone. It was a nice getaway.

Well apppointed cabin right on the stream

Really clean and comfortable well-appointed cabin with good amenities and thoughtful touches throughout. Perfect for a fly fishing getaway although when we went in July it was too hot to fish and the stream was very low. The hot tub is nice, and the living room has a nice fireplace. Small issues like very slow internet and the shower lever in the bath not working well hardly registered, although requiring you to take your own trash with you if you produced more than one garbage bag of trash and charging $10/bag if you left more than one seemed a little over the top given youā€™re paying a hefty cleaning fee. Highly recommend stocking up on food for your stay as restaurants are pretty few and far between and there are no grocery stores nearby. The host was very communicative though which we appreciated. Overall a very nice place on a beautiful mountain stream which is great for fly fishing.

Summer Getaway

We had an amazing time and stay at the Anglers Retreat. There wasnā€™t a detail missed, comfy bed, fully stocked kitchen, hot tub was clean & relaxing, wood for the campfire was available, and loved the wonderful stream in our backyard! What a treat to watch the deer in the side yard and listen to the stream on the back porch.

This is an absolutely beautiful cabin in the woods, which is turnkey, and everything worked perfectly. If you're looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle and go enjoy nature at a beautiful cabin, this is the one!

Christmas at the Cabin

We had a wonderful stay and Christmas at the cabin. My granddaughters enjoyed the hot tub and skipping stones in the creek. My daughter and I loved the fireplace. We all enjoyed the fire pit. The dogs loved roaming the property. The girls made good use of the games every night. The cabin is lovely and well appointed. Only real negatives were the roads coming in and out.
